I have one user on my network who cannot access samba shares on one of our servers. We have two machines running RH 6.0 (Kernel 2.2.5-15) and Samba 2.0.3. The user in question can access shares on one machine but not the other. The user has the same unix and samba password on both machines. Both machines are set up to use encrypted passwords. I got a problem. Samba is in place and working on my linux machine but when I try and use Windows to map a drive it asks for a password and doesn't know the one I enter. Dear Samba team: I just download SAMBA 2.0.7 from http://samba.gorski.net/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/redhat/ and I have already installed SAMBA 2.0.6 which come with my red head linux 6.2 CD.
