help on IDE
I am new comer in R.There r few IDE like Tinn R,VIM etc.I mean How to use them? Do I need to install R and then install them to use or they can work alone? Also does one install packages on R or IDEs? Can I call/use the package from IDEs? regards Parth -- Socrates, proclaimed: "I came to know one thing; that I know nothing".

package snow/parallel doesnt make any clusters
I am running R.And I want to make parallel computations. When using the snow package under R-2.13.1patched or the parallel package under R 2.14.0dev, R isn't able to create a cluster. When typing: cl <- makeCluster(4) R doesn't respond. It doesn't crash either. specs: OS: 32 bit, Windows XP Prof, SP3. Processor: Intel Core i3 cpu, quad core. My colleague works on exactly the

Installing Perl For Use in R
Hi, What OS are you on? It has been years since I used ActiveState, but it looks like you now need to create an account with them prior to downloading the installation files. They seem to give you the option of creating an account with them, or using Github. I would opt for the former, even though I have a Github account. If you are on Windows, an alternative Perl distribution is Strawberry

Installing Perl For Use in R
I?m getting nowhere with this. From the website below I clicked on the ActivePerl 5.26 button which seems to lead me into creating projects on the Cloud rather than downloading the software to my hard drive. https://www.activestate.com/products/perl/downloads/ Can someone give me some advise? What the website is trying to do seems rather shady. Thanks, Philip [[alternative HTML version

sig_pri.c:985 pri_find_dchan: Span 1: D-chanannel anyway!
Dears; To patch libpri: I just place the patch file in the libpri source directory and then I run make and make install? Or I need to compile the dahdi and asterisk also? If the problem stayed, do I have to go for previous libpri version? Or for previous dahdi version and asterisk version? reshape panel data
I have a data set with observations on 549 cities spanning an 18 year period. However, some of cities did not report in one or more of the 18 years. I would like to implement the procedure suggested by Wooldridge section 17.1.3 in his "Econometric analysis of cross section and panel data" to correct for attrition. For example the table below indicates that the 3rd and the 7th cities in

EFI: ipxe + syslinux = Failed to read blocks: 0xC
Hello dear list, Using VMware I built a test setup of a server with dhcp, tftp and a http-server and several pxe-clients with EFI mode turned on. This setup worked, albeit with the exponential-like decay of IO rate I described earlier. The work-around of using HTTP works beautifully though. So it was time for the next step. Migrate this setup to our automated testing environment that runs

Date vs date
I wrote the date package long ago, and it has been useful. In my current task of reunifying the R (Tom Lumley) and Splus (me) code trees for survival, I'm removing the explicit dependence on 'date' objects from the expected survival routines so that they better integrate. Comparison of 'date' to 'Date' has raised a couple of questions. Clearly Date is more

problem with -u option
This is my first attempt at using rsync, and I think I basically have it figured out, except that something is awry with updating. My situation is that I have a desktop in another city that I will use once a week or so when I am there. I have a local computer that most work gets done on. I wanted to set rsync to run nightly with a cron job to sync data, and then promptly run again in the other

sig_pri.c:985 pri_find_dchan: Span 1: No D-channels available! Using Primary channel as D-channel anyway!
Dear; Thanks a lot for guiding me. Is it possible that the installation libpri-1.4.11.5 newer than the libpri-1.4.11.5-patch? Well, when I typed (note: I am trying to apply the libpri-1.4.11.5-patch for the libpri-1.4.11.5): libpri-1.4.11.5# patch -p0 -i libpri-1.4.11.5-patch It gave me that patched detected as shown below (example of one file, and I got same for other files): patching file

[LLVMdev] [Proposal] Parallelize post-IPO stage.
A third approach is to decouple the backend compilation and parallelism strategy from the partitioning. The partitioning can spits out partition BC files and some action records in some standard format. All of this can be fed into some driver tools that converts the compilation action file into make/build file of the underlying build system of your choice: 1) it can simply a compiler driver that

VoIP-to-TDM processing on-card?
Are there any cards that work with * that do the VoIP-to-TDM processing on the cards, with multiple interfaces? The QuickNet Internet LineJack meets the description I believe, but it only has a single FXS or FXO. Are there any cards that have more than one FXS?
