CPAN issues

systems.
Suggest investigating:

App::cpanminus

Thank you Kahlil for your reply.
I made few perl changes, uninstalled CPAN, removed the .cpan dir, and reinstalled, and ran 'install CPAN' and everything looked much better. That is, no failures. The last part of the output was;

All tests successful.

- Set up an aliased network interface eth0:0.
- Don't start smbd as a daemon.
- Install the net utility "socket" or something similar.
- Set up inetd to spawn tcpd when anyone connects to port 139.
- Make sure that you have tcpd compiled with PROCESS_OPTIONS defined.
Set up hosts.allow thus:

This will allow clients to attach to samba using one IP address, or be
