...ers to keep their connection when the "main" smbd is killed. I will have to play with that sometime. You don't have to restart smbd when you want you change smbd.conf. This file is read every few minutes. To force a read of smbd.conf, send SIGHUP to the smbd process. In linux, kill -1 process_number seems to work fine.
