What's up with Firefox/Thundrebird
Hey All, Has anyone had trouble with Firefox/Thunderbird? When I log on if I start Thunderbird first then I can't start Firefox. Clicking on a link in an email fails to start Firefox. If I start Firefox before Thunderbird then hyperlinks in emails open a page in the existing Firefox instance. Other users on this same machine are having the same problems. This has been happening for that

AutoCAD / file lock problem / Samba 3.0.10
Hi, I am facing a similar problem to what I faced sometime ago with Excel 11 when saving a modified xls file on a smb share: the application was saying the file is already used by another user (although this was not the case). The Excel problem was solved by adding a registry string somewhere in Excel registry key (documented in the Microsoft knowledge base). Now we are facing the same

Corrupt CDR records in Asterisk 1.2.x
I have a problem with CDR recording in Asterisk 1.2.x. This is the situation: An Asterisk 1.2.0 (BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1 with florz) machine with a single HFC-S ISDN BRI card. I log the call records to both the Master.csv and MySQL. The problem is that when an incoming call from the ISDN line is logged to the CDR, the "src" and the "clid" field show up as something like

Problem with sending mail from mail server behind firewall.
I am having a problem with connections from a server behind a shorewall firewall. Both machines are running redhat 8.0 with a custom 2.4.20 kernel. The problem lies with a mail server I am configuring which has been able to send mail to all hosts, except this one. The connection starts with the SYN_SENT, and then just hangs there. (telnet to remote server on port 25 just hangs trying to

Problem decoding .flac files
I've been having problems with Amarok and K3B, but I think it comes down to a problem with flac. All my music and audio files are encoded in flac format. I've ripped my CDs using KAudioCreator and using this command to encode them (split for formatting): flac --best -o %o --tag=Artist=%{artist} --tag=Album=%{albumtitle} --tag=Date=%{year} --tag=Title=%{title}

Asterisk 1.4 reliability problems
Hello All, We have been experiencing some ongoing reliability problems with Asterisk for quite some time, and I am trying to find out if anyone else has experienced the same problems. We are running asterisk 1.4.17~dfsg-2+b1 on Debian Lenny, with a Digium PRI card, and have approximately 120 sip peers, mostly Snom 360s, with a few Grandstream GXP2000 and a handful of Handytone 486 units.
