how do you rate limit routable traffic without rate limiting LAN protocols like arps and igmp?
I''m rate limiting and prioritizing traffic upstream of a slow wan link
using htb, classic wonder shaper type stuff. I''m using the following
command for traffic that does not match any of my defined filters:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 50
It appears that local, non-routable traffic like arps and igmp are being
snared by this and end-up queued in the lowest

Re: Please go elsewhere, I don't have time
[ NOTE: I'm putting this off-topic thread back on the Ext3 list,
temporarily, as I hope _someone_else_ can help this gentleman better
than I have. With each response I get 10 more questions, 5 of them
have already been answered and another 5 that utterly confuses me on
what he is trying to accomplish, because he's changing his
priorities (to often conflicting ones). ]

Xen 4.6.3-15 packages, including XSAs 216-219, 221-225 on their way through the build system
Xen 4.6.3-15 packages for CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 are on their way
through the build system. They should show up in centos-virt-testing
in a few hours, and in the main mirrors tomorrow morning (God
willing).
These contain several critical updates; users are encouraged to update
as soon as possible.
XSA 220 unfortunately had several dependencies on changes included in
4.6.4 and 4.6.5. This

parametric surfaces
Hi,
does anyone know how to plot 3D parametric surface,e.g ellipsoid:
x=a*cos(s)*cos(t),
y=b*sin(s)*cos(t),
z=sin(t);
s in [0,2*pi],
t in [-pi,pi].

Icecast and streaming vorbis
Hi all:
Ever since I discovered the OGG vorbis format, I have been keen to use it
and see it used for streaming applications. As far as I'm aware, icecast
is the server being worked on to serve it (let me know if there are
others). I was pleased to read comments on vorbis.org about icecast's
imminent support of vorbis. However, a message forwarded to me by a friend
from the icecast

Re: Marco and Realtime Extension Problem [SOLVED]
Dear All,
Sorry to be posting again. I have solved my problem.
The problem is that when exiting from the macro, the priority number
is still in effect. For example, priority 1 is at the start before
entering macro after the macro the priorty will be 2. Since there
isn't any other dialplan command, the switch statement would be search
for a priority 2 in the Realtime extensions table.

Problems with nut on new openSuSE 11.1 (same ecstasy_ups)
Arjen,
I just installed openSuSE 11.1. I though it would be simple to setup the same
CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD on the same machine that we worked through the 20+
voltage issue with, but usbhis-ups driver is failing for some reason. I have
gotten the output I remember you needing from the last issue for you. What do
you think the problem might be? Here is the information:

Pattern Matching
We recently had our PRI installed, we currently have 100 toll-free's
pointing to it.
I have almost everything working great but..
I have setup the first few numbers we want to use coming in from the PRI and
they work great, but..
What I want to do is setup an extension with pattern matching to answer for
any numbers called that are pointed to our system and PRI but not yet in

Little Ferret Problem
I''ve implemented Ferret, using the instructions here:
http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/pages/HowToIntegrateFerretWithRails
I get no errors in the application at all... however, I always get 0

I built an index off of some data, it exists in the index/ directory, the
form submits find... etc...
Just 0 results... all the time :)
I confirmed the data from my models is being put

Clustering
Hello All,
Ive been doing more and more research on trying to setup a cluster/load
balancer for Asterisk. All the Asterisk boxes would be using a config that
is the same between them all (via a DB), but we want one location to point
the phones to, and from there that machine/device will send it to a Asterisk
server so the call can be processed. I know you cant balance the whole call,
ie: once the
