completed printjobs stay in queue after "upgrade" 3.0.20rc2 -> 3.0.20
...ade, all completed printjobs on all 40 printers stayed in samba's print queue (they were removed from the unix-printqueue). When I installed 3.0.20rc2, everything back to normal. But since the upgrade this weekend to 3.0.20, the same thing happens again: no jobs were removed from the samba printerqueue's. Removing the .tdb files clears the queue, but doesn't solve the problem... Any hints? brecht A sample printer definition from smb.conf. We use lprng to spool the jobs to our lprng printserver. Printers not working with Point'N'Print
...use the postscript driver, but the PCL seems to work fine so I'm not too concerned with that. However the Xerox printers do not want to play nice with Samba at all. When I add the printer without point n print, they work fine. Under the Properties in windows XP the port shows up as \\server\printerqueue Now if I reconfigure Samba to use PNP and I click connect and let the driver install automatically, the port shows up as Samba Printer Port. When I try to print from here I get no errors but the print job dissappears. I may be wrong, but it seems that there is some problem translating the Samba...
