Package checking: verifying plots
I pride myself on having an extensive and comprehensive test suite for the survival package.
However, I don't have a good procedure for testing the plotting routines. (Forget "good",
I don't even have a third-rate procedure for this.) This was brought home with the latest

Zoom plugin changes
...why, just WHAT. This is a common practice that I
should NOT have to explain to an experience developer.
Please document your changes to the zoom plugin properly so our USERS

What do you think?
I'm happy to run it as long as I'm able, it's rather low-maintenance
and I take a bit of pride seeing it used as much as it is :).
However, from the start I've had the intention of either handing it
over or shutting it down on request, so if making this official sounds
good then let me know and I'll work with you to make the transition
and pass over account ownership.

R's Data Dredging Philosophy for Distribution Fitting

true as @Risk's
(http://www.palisade.com/risk/?gclid=CKvblPSM7KICFZQz5wodDRI2fg)
"Distribution Fitting" function does this very thing. And it is here that
my R pride has taken a hit. Based on the first response to the question
posed here
http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Which-distribution-best-fits-the-data-td859448.html#a859448
is it fair to say that the R community (I realize this is only 1 view) would
take exception to this kind of "data mining"?...

How to write RoR code
Hi all
I took a look to several examples of RoR on different web sites, and I
found that it is hard to write a class, in RoR, because I do not
understand all the codes used on the source code.

hackish error handling

back to whichever page they came from (5 potential input forms) - but
it loses all the form data that they submitted into the order.
I pretty much hate the way this is working today, but was under a

hacked it up. But I''ve got an extra day now and would really love it
if someone could point me in the right direction to fixing these
mistakes. Everything i''m trying only seems to make the code uglier and

That's not something to be proud of if you expect a maintainer to commit on your behalf. If you commit yourself, then whatever.
