iSCSI on a single interface?
Hi, are there currently any plans to make an iSCSI target created by setting shareiscsi=on on a zvol bindable to a single interface (setting tpgt or acls)? I can cobble something together with ipfilter, but that doesn''t give me enough granularity to say something like: ''host a can see target 1, host c can see targets 2-9'', etc. Also, am I right in thinking without

Softphone that emulates Skype API ?
There's a large number of gadgets one can buy that work with Skype through the API. One of the things I'm interested right now is the ability to properly use a mobile phone headset with a SIP/IAX softphone. Is there an softphone that emulates the Skype API? Are there legal implications in writing an softphone that emulates the Skype API? Should I just give up and buy a Siemens DECT

Error Upgrading Schema
In general we do not allow the removal of schema. In particular, because records in samba are stored under the attribute name, removing schema or renaming schema items describing those attributes and objectclasses can mean records cannot be processed correctly. However, if you confirm you really have exactly the entry already in the schema, you could edit the new schema not to add that

slashdot article
I saw your post and read the replies with great interest. Did you draw any conclusions from the /. replies? Where do you think you might go with the licensing issues for embedded systems? I would vote for the BSD license approach myself. Here's another licensing question. Your source code lays out the functionality of the FLAC codec and the file formats. What if someone comes along

Producing "Editable" Graphs for PowerPoint
Hello, (apologies, I'm not entirely sure whether this question is about R or my limitations with PowerPoint). I've submitted a paper (which has been accepted) but the journal now require me to submit graphs that are "editable in PowerPoint". I would be grateful for suggestions as to how I should do this. The best route seems to be to copy-and-paste the figures from the

Fwd: Converting R to Sweave (Rnw)
Hi I am thinking about using Sweave more frequently, especially for documenting code. But the syntax is slightly awkward for me (<<name>>= ... @), and I was thinking if there would be a way of importing the type of code extracted from an Rnw file back into an Rnw file? The advantage would be that the code could run in R without tangling. Obviously, sweave options could not be

African IP addresses list
Hi all, I am trying to block all IP addresses from Africa due to a high rate of fraudulent orders coming from them. I have some found some websites that can generate a range of IP addresses. However, you would have to enter the ranges by country. I can use those perhaps but that would mean I would have to get the ranges for each country one by one. Has anyone here a list of addresses from

[LLVMdev] VLIW Ports
Evan, What would change if tomorrow we got a VLIW target/back end with some certain properties - let's say no intra-packed deps - would it sway your opinion in either direction? Would it be a natural prerogative to implement it certain way for such hypothetical contributor/submitter? Thanks. Support for APC Smart-UPS X 3000
Just my experiences speaking, look at another brand. I use MGE/Eaton and have had much better life and the quality has been much better. APC does not release the protocol for comunicating with the UPS and so to get NUT to work you have to sniff the traffic and then figure out what the commands and responses mean.(thus reverse engineered) APC also will change the protocol between models. (Thus why

The novel policy areas addressed by this treaty go beyond ordinary treaty-making that seeks worldwide adherence to U.S. policy. Instead, this initiative invades Congress? prerogative to develop and establish national policy. Indeed, even as Congress is debating how best to protect network neutrality, treaty negotiators are debating how to eliminate it. The threat to personal liberties presented by this treaty is too grave to allow these new policy initiatives be handed over t...

Support for APC Smart-UPS X 3000
Hi all, I am completely new to NUT and setting up a UPS shut down in Linux. I am looking at buying a APC Smart-UPS X 3000. When I look this device up in the compatibility list this specific model is not listed, only a generic entry for "Smart-UPS". It says to use the *apcsmart* driver. The legend shows this as "protocol based on reverse engineering". What does this

Samba errors?
Hello there folks, I have been using the latest alpha version, I believe it is 5 , which proves to be a bit better than the previous work, but I do face some serious problems. This is my first time installing samba on a SunOS 4.1.4 and I do have some concern about samba works. Assuming the existance of 2 Unix systems that are exporting filesystems between them, and 1 PC that requests home
