Still considering backup utilities
I hear that backuppc does *not* have a native *Doze client. On the other
hand, I know amanda's been around a long time, and it does. Opinions on
amanda, folks?

Still considering backup utilities
...access rsyncd, but there
is a limited client available.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/backuppc/files/cygwin-rsyncd/3.0.9.0/
>From the readme:
"Download and run cygwin-rsyncd-3.0.9.0_installer.exe to install rsyncd
on your WinXX client for doing BackupPC backups."
At one time, the prepacked rsyncd client did not work on Win7 and later,
but I think that was fixed. Otherwise, install "full" cygwin and follow
the instructions for the prepacked rsyncd client.

ssh in small devices
...seems to be "quite
heavy" for this simple task. We just want
a fairly good sequre channel and we are investigating if SSH could do
the job. BUT wat we would realy like is to
embedd the SSH protocol *into* our applications. The devices could and
should not be managed in any
way! So we must prepack as mutch as possible.
The problem is that we found virtualy no information about how to do
this! We were looking for some
libssh libraries on OpenSSH site - but find no sutch thing.
If anybody could take on sutch a task, to build a libssh from stuf
that are on OpenSSH and make some simple
example...
