I'm not really sure how to proceed, but I notice on your IRC channel that you advertise a 'devel 6.04-preN' verion. Is it worth me trying that? Hi, It seems that after I upgraded to 1.1beta1 it takes a few seconds first time I access a folder and i get this error : fcntl(/mail2/home/jon/.Maildir/.INBOX.Pren/dovecot.index.cache, F_RDLCK) failed: Bad file descriptor. No errors after that and it works fine. is this expected. Is it ok to continue using this? Best regards - Jon

Module Versioning
...be released version of Syslinux, is place a copy of that new ldlinux.sys for the server. And then the 6.03-pre came along... Now, I'm *really* starting to get annoyed by this module incompatibility business, because not only are 6.x versions incompatible with 6.y modules, but even a 6.03-preN .sys can be incompatible with modules from 6.03-preN+1! I have to say, I actually started to look into reverse-building an ldlinux.sys from the existing ldlinux.c32 on the ISO in Rufus (which I may actually still try to do in the future), as a possible solution to avoid this whole ordeal. More...

Plop Boot Manager quit working with 5.10
I have updated syslinux in Parted Magic's test version to the 5.10 release. With 4.06 I booted plop like this: LINUX /boot/plpbt/plpbt.bin Now it says /boot/plpbt/plpbt.bin... ok Booting kernel failed: Invalid argument Other "extras" like IPXE, HDT, memtest86+, chntpw, Super Grub Disk, etc... all work with 5.10. Revert to 4.06 and plop works again. Is this a problem with syslinux

FW: pxelinux 5.x, 6.x memtest problem
...some kind of problem related to the status of Syslinux 5.xx at the time v4.06 was released. According to your report, you also see the "Booting kernel failed: Bad file number", which might have been fixed already. So, I would suggest for you to try again with the latest testing 5.11-preN, and/or 6.01-preM that you can find available, or to wait for the next stable release and then report again. Regards, Ady.

Plop Boot Manager quit working with 5.10
...est), and that one Syslinux entry uses the PLoP kernel and the other uses the image with memdisk. I have not tried without using linux.c32. I have not actually tried to go on with additional booting steps to boot something else, from inside PLoP itself. It might be worth testing Syslinux 5.11-preN too (instead of 5.10) with different versions of PLoP, and with and without MEMDISK. Regards, Ady.

FW: pxelinux 5.x, 6.x memtest problem
Additional information: I was tried it with 2 virtualbox (version 4.2.14r86644).1rst: debian weezy with isc-dhcp-server, pxelinux5.01, pxelinux 6.00, tftp-hpa2nd: empty virtualbox booting from virtual network card. So memtest 4.1 and 4.2 worked with pxelinux 4.06 Peter > Date: Fri, 28 Jun 2013 09:02:30 +0100 > From: matt at console-pimps.org > To: coolpet80 at hotmail.com > CC:
