Samba3-LDAP PDC and SUSE OpenExchange
.... This configuration is working fine. I also am testing
integration of SuSE OpenExchange and would like to have it authenticate
logons via the domain LDAP database.

search for some information regarding the cyrus user (PreferredLanguage to
be exact) during loading of the login page via the webmail interface. I do
see the search request hit the PDC LDAP server, but because of the directory
structure differences that OpenExchange is looking for, this obviously
fails.
Has anyone taken this on or have some input?

samba4 openldap
I see that samba4 will have it's own LDAP database. How will the support
for OpenLDAP be? if anyone knows. Will I have the option to use OpenLDAP
still for all the new features so as to be able to use current apps that
use OpenLDAP already? If anyone has info regarding this, it would be
appreciated. Thanks.

BIG Samba howto for debian only.
Hi everybody,
I made a pretty complete howto for samba on debian servers.
This howto covers samba + ldap + cups + recycle bin + samba-vscan
+ phpldapadmin + ACL + Extended Attributes.
this howto is also based on the idealx howto
If you do this setup, you should be able to use the NT4 Usermanager,
setup Point en Print Printing. set rights from explorer etc.
other nice tools is ldapadmin (
