Problem with bridged network configuration
Hi, When I initially boot my system, it fails to bring up the network. Once booted, if I run "systemctl restart network.service", or even stop, wait a while, then start, it starts up fine and all is well. I'm running Fedora 19 (updated). I followed the instructions on this page to set up a bridged network: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking I note however that I did *not*

[netcf] Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself?
Hi All, I have a usage question about netcf. Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself? If you have any other method, please share to me, or can we add support for it in netcf? You can see the following steps for details. Version: netcf-0.2.4-1.el6.x86_64 kernel-2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 1. Select a existing NIC from host, for example eth1. [root@rhel6 ~]# ncftool

Are you sure that F19 has that form of netdev naming in the first place? The non-integrated netdevs on my F19 system have names based on their slot, e.g. "p4p2", not the type of names specified in the web page you r...

Centos 7 + SystemD + Predictable Network Interface Names
Hi list, I'm trying Centos7 and using systemD. I've noticed that interfaces name does not have anymore eth0,eth1, ethN but a different name. What do you think about predictable network if name assigned by systemd?

...usical chairs dance begins. I have had more problems due to that one feature than anything else in recent memory. It is a misnomer if ever there was one. Even the docs related to it are incorrect (for Fedora 19, creating the symlink described at http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/ doesn't have the expected result of disabling the feature). ...configuration that is setup by netcf can only reference an *existing* physical device name, it can't rename it. > If you have any other method, please share to me, or can we add support for it in netcf? One source of information is here: http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/ (although that only completely applies to systems running recent systemd, e.g. Fedora 20, but not to RHEL6 as you appear to be running) There is a reference there of how to change an interface name in a system that isn't using "predictable network interface names" (or biosdevname...

[libvirt] SRIOV configuration
Hello, We encountered a problem while testing SRIOV on kubevirt [1]: We are currently using the Device "hostdev" generic options to pass-through the VF to the guest. It is not done through the "interface" (with type hostdev) because that option requires access to the PF which is not available in our case (the VF is moved to the container namespace where libvirt runs, but not
