Limiting Bandwidth of an ppp interfaces
Hi everyone.
I''m working on a problem since some days.
I have a linux router with about 100 ppp interfaces. Each interface should
bei limited to an individual bandwidth of 1024kbit, 2048kbit or 3096kbit. Up
AND downstream. (let''s say for example 1024kbit upstream and 1024kbit
downstream)
The reason for this problem: I have to limit users to their booked
bandwidth, because

I also bought a USB2-HUB-AG7, but the new black version (of the *same*
model# - arrrrgggghhhh) no longer implements PPPS. Only the old silver
version does. What is the point of a model# if you can't count on the
functionality?

It sounds to me (who has never tried an offline join) that this is
something else that sssd cannot do by itself.

Egress shaping recommendations (based on source ip)
I''m trying to set up customer egress shaping on concentrator that customers
connect to using pptp (which uses pppd). This means customers each have a
pppXXX interface when they connect. It''s easy to shape their "down" speed
this way, and when they disconnect the interface is gone and thus the
shaping rules automatically go away as well.
However, shaping their upload

Playing GSM files in Windows
For the archives...
In trying to play GSM files in Windows (Windows XP for me, but in
general) I found no help on Google, so when I figured it out I thought I
would post it here.
Q: How do I play GSM Files in Windows?
A: Use Quicktime, it supports the GSM audio format directly.

Tripp-Lite SMART1500LCDT
I've made some progress getting this Tripplite to work:
http://gathman.org/2016/07/30/Standard_Schmandard/
Basically, plug it into a USB hub that actually implements USB2.0, then
power cycle the port when it hangs. It does seem to be a hardware
problem with the USB controller.

developpement flac avec Icecast
Bonjour,
flac.

Fail kerberos method = secrets and keytab and net offlinejoin requestodj
Hello
I don't know if this is normal behavior (does the djoin have the spn?):
When a have kerberos method in smb.conf :
kerberos method = secrets and keytab
Joining with offlinejoin does not work:
root at testjoinlinux:/# net offlinejoin requestodj loadfile=/root/djoin

PPS. I wrote up a few notes on the MDCT for Wikipedia
(http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modified_discrete_cosine_transform), with
some help from Frank Klemm of LAME regarding their use in various codecs.
Maybe someone here will find the page useful (or have corrections).
PPPS. I'll be out of town, probably with no email, until Wednesday.
