My company (E.ON - large utility) has a large ADS system. We are
retiring NT4 domains and I have been asked to transfer the SAMBA
domain log-ins into ADS. I am initially testing my work on Linux
RHEL 4, running SAMBA 3.10.
The ADS system consists of a realm/forest PG.EON.NET (old Powergen)
on server A, a realm/forest RETAIL.PG.EON.NET on server B and a new
realm/forest UNIX.EONUK.INT on server C. There is a one-way trust
system whereby C trusts A and B. A and B are running native AD on
W2K3 and C is currently running mixed mode on W2K3. The idea is to

Installed Samba 3.0.10 via 'pkgadd' on Solaris 2.6 workstation s080
(137.223.31.80) - previously running Samba 2.2.8 which has worked for a
long time.
Samba 3.0.10 smb.conf file - changed to security =DOMAIN from SERVER at
2.2.8 version
password server = 137.223.33.45, 137.223.33.72 - these are DCs

Samba problem connecting
Installed Samba 3.0.10 via 'pkgadd' on Solaris 2.6 - previously running
Samba 2.2.8.
It starts up and SWAT confirms that it is running and I am using the
same smb.conf but I am unable
to connect to a share via PC.
Message "\\s080 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource.
