Recovering data from disk with loose cable
We have a disk array behind two external SATA port multipliers (four
disks on each multiplier) which has been running btrfs (RAID 1 for
both data and metadata). Unfortunately, earlier today it seems one of
the SATA cables came loose, resulting in the kernel (2.6.37)
eventually OOPSing although apparently not before writing quite a bit
of data. Upon reboot, I was met with the dreaded,

I've checked the application database and it apparently 'works', however, whenever I use it.. Well, I suppose I better get a screenshot of this weirdness to explain.

Large file - match process taking days
I've been trying to figure out why some large files are taking a long time
to rsync (80GB file). With this file, the match process is taking days.
I've added logging to verbose level 4. The output from match.c is at the
point where it is writing out the "potential match at" message. In a 9 hour
period the match verbiage has changed from:

Dependency problems with Yum update
I am spoiled with Yum: never have had a dependency problem until today.
Can this be resolved:

Starfury again
Hmm, no one bit on my previous question about Space Empires Starfury...
all right, this time I've got a little bit of technical info which might
be helpful - here's what the terminal prints prior to the game crashing
and requiring a kill -9 to get rid of it:
fixme:font:load_VDMX Failed to retrieve vTable
fixme:ddraw:DirectDrawEnumerateExA no non-display devices supported.

About ParallelR and licensing of packages
Howdy all...
Reading with interest the thread(s) about REvolution, package
licensing and the requirements of the GPL.
First of all, let me introduce myself?. ?I joined REvolution Computing
in February, after working for nearly 4 years for Intel as an open
source strategist and before that for 6 years at Sun, where I
established the first corporate open source programs office. ?I'm a

Where to report (potential) Dovecot bugs
I'm curious if this is still the right place to report potential bugs with
Dovecot.
Is there a Dovecot bug tracker somewhere?

A potential error in opus-1.1.3
Hi,
I downloaded the source code of opus-1.1.3.tar.gz, and statically analyzed the code by a static analysis tool. Many potential false alarms are reported. I checked manually and selected a potential error which is described as follow. Could you please check it?
In file ‘src/opus_encoder.c’, function ‘opus_encode_native’, the piece of code is:

I also agree the suggested behavior makes a lot of sense and I think it is a good idea.
However, some deployments may rely upon the current behavior. As an

Handling of offsets in glm is really inconsistent.
[Copied to R-devel for information]
This applies to all versions of R I have: 0.62.2, 0.62.3, 0.63.
Great care seems needed with glms with offsets, as many things seem
wrong.
Consider the following:
> data(freeny)
> freeny.glm <- glm(y ~ offset(lag.quarterly.revenue) + price.index +
income.level + market.potential, data=freeny, subset=1:30)
> predict(freeny.glm)

[PATCH][next] drm/nouveau/disp: avoid potential overflow on shift of int value
From: Colin Ian King <colin.king at canonical.com>
The constant values being shifted are 32 bit integers and may potentially
overflow on the shift. Avoid this potential overflow by making them
unsigned long long values before the shift.
