New versions of lattice and grid
...ath expression usage, fails in the sense that all expression
are shown literally. For example the title of the plot reads " pi*sum(x,
i=0, n)", the x-axis label is "sigma[i]", the subtitle reads
frac(demonstrating, expressions), etc. This happed using windows device as
well as postscrip device (on Win2000 and Linux platforms).
I am almost sure that this worked before. Could anybody confirm this?
Andy

Capturing the sql from a statement without executing it?
Hi guys,
Is there an elegant way to capture the sql that would have been
executed by an ActiveRecord statement, without actually executing
it? :)

sql = ActiveRecord::Base.capture_sql { User.find(1).groups }
resulting in sql = ''SELECT * FROM groups INNER JOIN memberships....
WHERE users.id =

Saving plots to file
Appologies if this has been addressed before, but I can't seem to find it in
the help archives.
I'm looking to do something like the following but it looks like save.plot
is deprecated.
save.plot(plot(glm1$residuals,gain,main = "Hist of residuals and
gain"),file="Desktop/hist1.png")
Thanks in advance,
Sean

probleme with savePlot (to eps)
Hi the list,
I used savePlot to export some eps graph but it seems that the graph
file hold a bug. I include the graph.eps in a LaTeX file. Running latex
is ok. But the dvi file contain some mistake, the graph overprint on
some text and hide it. Then, when I try to convert it to another format,
I get :
Ignoring remaining special text following unkown PS operator: "SDict"
