...so it doesn't get an IP, the routing table doesn't get updated, etc. So, my question is, how can I make CentOS automatically configure this interface when the link comes back up? ...once, attempting to re-write the exact same file on the filesystem gets no errors and works normally, so I doubt it's a physical thing with the drives anyway. Anyone seen anything like this before? ...prietary software didn't want to run. I found out that the startup script for said software manually sets DISPLAY to :0.0, which I know is not a good idea, and I can fix.
