Send admin kill request to server
Hi Fred, I am understand the requirements already a little bit better. What I have to Do is a HTTP GET with a Basic Authorization in the header. I have tested it with 'Postman' and it works fine with Icecast. But I have to do it with Javascript or JQuery. Therefore curl doesn't help me. I try to use Ajax for that, but something goes wrong. If I do it without Autorization, I got a return message which says 'Authentication required'. If I enable the Au...

Errors running imaptest with dovecot-1.1.1
Hi, I've been trying some benchmarks to compare 1.0 vs 1.1 -this is the easiest way to explain the move to my boss-, so I've compiled dovecot 1.1 and imaptest-20080627 in my secondary machine running RHEL4, with homes in NFS, indeces in local files and control files also in NFS. Then I've created 100 new users imaptest001-imaptest100, and set the password paquitoelchocolatero to

seeding dev/random in 5.5
I was doing some regression testing in 5.5: Specifically testing booting up a 'virgin' hard disk from a clean install. I was testing what happened if the 300 second timeout happened vs hitting <return> for 'fast+insecure' startup and punching in a bunch of random garbage. I found that for some reason, on a 2.4Ghz Celeron, the 'sysctl -a' and 'date' seeding

Concerned about Dovecot's new NTLM code (Modified by Timo Sirainen)

Oh, and after v1.0 I'll probably start fixing the mailbox APIs too. lib-index and lib-storage needs to have different kind of relationship. > It would be marvelous if at some point being able to replace c-client > library to your optimized one for PHP, mailsync, postman, aolserver and > others - even if it means loosing support for odd mailbox formats. I'm not sure what kind of API PHP provides for c-client. I know it's commonly used for building IMAP webmails, but Dovecot doesn't have any IMAP client code and maybe never will. -------------- nex...

problems with .forward
My old Centos 5.5 servers had a /root/.forward to send things like logwatch to this email account. It did not take any special configuration in sendmail for this to work. Now Centos 6.3 is using postfix (as we well know, and generally I am happy for this) and I have set up the /root/.forward as always, but it seems like postfix is ignoring it. I have restarted postfix with no difference in

FAST MONEY!!!!!!
...WILL MAKE! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O.Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT.** HERE'S HOW $6.00 DOLLARS TURNS INTO THOUSANDS!! Out of 200 postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example). So then I made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 mak...
