...AD! ( not the POSIX )
Now go set the share rights from withing windows.
then set the rights on the folder from within windows.
if this does not work, i'll eat my shoe...
and for these:
admin users = +"TESTDomain Admins"
profile acls = yes
csc policy = disable
You dont need postix settings on the profiles share imo.

With standard backup MX based on postix (with rather trivial
configuration) you always do have list of legitimate recipients of primary
MX on the secondary MX. Sorry if my previous e-mail is not explicit enough
about it. It's a work, however, to maintain that table on backup MX (so
your backup MX does accept mail for newly added user...

Status of SMTPUTF8?
I was wondering whether there is a roadmap for adding SMTPUTF8 support
to Dovecot?
My delivery pattern is Postfix -> Dovecot LMTP and it is choking on utf8
messages.
I might be able to volunteer some of my time as a developer.
Another thread about this seemed to go unanswered:

but its better if he try the new settings, it save to need of any GID for the group rights.
im working on that also to make it more uniform and a set with posix and a set without postix rights.

nfs based shared home dir question
...rname.internal.domain.tld\users2\%username% is used in my AD for the home folder of the users. %username% translates to the username.
I tried 2 setups now, windows acl base setup and posix based setup.
Both fail for me.
THE SERVER with the shares ( and is nfs server)
The samba/windows part. ( postix rights setup )
On the server this is /home/samba/users2
Users is shared, owner root , Group root, everyone.
These have all "special" rights, with "only this folder"
ls -al gives :
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Sep 7 10:18 users2

Postgrey not working
Hi,
I have a working installation of Postfix and Dovecot that works nicely.
I've added SpamAssassin, which does a good job of flagging spam. Now I
wanted to add greylisting to my server.
Here's what I did.
$ sudo yum install postgrey
Increase the greylisting delay.
# /etc/sysconfig/postgrey
POSTGREY_OPTS="--delay=300"
Edit /etc/postfix/main.cf accordingly.

unix_primary_group = yes don t work
Hi,
On a samba 4.9.4 fileserver using ad backend with rfc2307 , when i
create a file from a Win10 client, it s always created with the rights
user:"domain users".
I ve understood that with "unix_primary_group = yes" , the file should
be created with the rights user:gidNumber .
Here is my config :

security = ADS
workgroup = SAMBA494

Doing greylisting right means you also have to keep the table of
already-known senders up to date and that may be very dynamic.

Did you include this line:
postgrey unix - n n - -
/var/spool/postfix/postgrey/socket
in your /etc/postix/master.cf file?

LMTP BUG
Hello,
just setting up mail hub with Postfix & Dovecot I have found BUG in LMTP
implementation.
* assumptions
- latest stable Postix & Dovecot,
- Postfix delivers via Dovecot LMTP (virtual_transport = lmtp:127.0.0.1:24),
- Dovecot userdb & passwd lookups are made via custom checkpassword
interface,
- each user (email account) has different UID/GID

Status of SMTPUTF8?
I necro-bump this thread as I have the same problem since I switched to
LMTP from LDA (as the wiki recommend).
Any news to make dovecot LMTP postix compliant ?

Hooking postfix into dovecot
Cyrus has to be added to master.cf and transport_maps has to be set to
"cyrus:localhost".
So my question is how do I get the mails from postfix to dovecot?
Hope it's okay to submit these type of questions here :)
Thanks

Should we run Amavisd on our final delivery hosts?
We use Cyrus-imapd together with Postix to effect final delivery of
email messages to our clients. The final delivery server is isolated
from the internet via a firewall and only pre-authorized host
addresses can connect. All user pickup and delivery email traffic is
handled through separate Internet accessible hosts that may establish...

Nope, its exact as you have setup.
Your mistake ( not really a misstake but more a misconfiguration / thought..)
Here your checking the "Windows" acls.
root at mom11:/home/d/dare# getfacl test_win10_v1/
Here your forcing POSTIX acl's.
> force create mode = 0755
> force directory mode = 0755
The above force settings should be removed.
Is this a "userhome dir" or "profiles folder"
Because these needs a bit different rights, .. Depening on you needs..
My suggestion, re-read.
