centos-announce list?
Any chance we can set up a low-volume "centos-announce" list so that we
all don't have to read all of these non-Centos-specific E-mail threads
about people figuring out how to admin a Linux box when all we need to
know is when major releases/milestones/news items are available?

firefox-1.5.0.5-0.el4.1.centos4 and SVG
...ith the updated firefox (and freetype) I can't see svg files:
? This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated
with it. ?
While, if installing firefox 1.5.0 from the official site, svg files
display without trouble.
What could be the reason for that?

CentOS 4.3 to CentOS 4.4. I set up a local YUM repository, and have
been able to successfully update all systems except for one. Both
yum and rpm either hang or core dump on this system. I've done a
"yum clean all" and an "rpm --rebuilddb" (after deleting the __db
files). I was able to

Running firefox on a remote host on centos-4
Back in the day (read: before the latest firefox update), I used to be
able to ssh to a remote box, run 'firefox -local', and have that box fire
up its own firefox session even if I was running firefox on the system
from I which I sshed. Those days seem to be gone. No matter what I try, if
I've got firefox running on my local desktop, the remote firefox command just
fires off
