omindex and scriptindex question
Hi,
I was researching indexing of text in omindex and scriptindex.
While indexing text with omindex.cc possition of terms is saved with gap.
This is not happening with scriptindex.cc
While this is happening ?
Another question is why in omindex.cc the term possition starts with 0 while
in scriptindex it starts from 1 ?
Code snippet from omindex.cc
// Add postings for terms to the document

dovecot v1.2.1 expire-tool with mail_log enabled
Hello list,
Sorry, if it has been asked, but searching throught list not give possitive answers.
After upgrade to dovecot version 1.2.1 expire-tool stoped working. I have changed database format and config file to appropriative 1.2 version but:
expire-tool.sh fails with:
# dovecot -c /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf --exec-mail ext /usr/libexec/dovecot/expire-tool.sh

[PATCH v2] vhost: block speculation of translated descriptors

Well, that obviously depends on you as a maintainer but the point is
that spectre gatgets are quite hard to find. There is a smack check
AFAIK but that generates quite some false possitives and it is PITA to
crawl through those. If you want an interesting (I am not saying
vulnerable on purpose) gatget then it would be great to mark it for
stable so all stable consumers (disclaimer: I am not one of those) and
add that really great feeling of safety ;)
So take this as my 2c

AICc in MuMIn package
Hello,
I am modelling in glmmADMB count data (I´m using a negative binomial
distribution to avoid possitive overdispersion) with four fixed and one
random effect. I´m also using MuMIn package to calculate the AICc and also
to model averaging using the function dredge. What I do not understand is
why dredge calculates a different value of the AICc and degrees of freedom
than the function AICc (please see...

What if this happens?
Does anyone have concern about this? What if Redhat stops giving SRPMS for
new releases and updates in public? If you buy a subscription to RHEL AS and
they have to give you the SRPMS because of GPL agreement can that person
provide those SRPMS to public again because of GPL? They claim they are
premium OpenSource company but they are still a company and for them money
is bottom line.

Re: Wine and WoW Cataclysm Patch 4.0 troubleshooting thread
That's what I'm going to do, after purging all the current nvidia stuff frommy system.
The second thing I'm going to do is download, build and install the latest decent version of Wine.
Thanks for all your advice. It's been really helpful.

One more question. What with OpenGL support getting dropped from WoW, I was wondering if it was worth trying to use DirectX under

Antispam plugin custom behavior?
Hello,
I currently have a setup on my system with what I call "magic folders"
to enable spam filter training. Here's how it works:
1. If you have a false-negative, put the spam into the Spam.Report
folder
2. If you have a false-positive (which has all kinds of ugly
spamassassin protective markup in it), put the message into the
Spam.NotSpam folder

A possible way to reduce basic questions

The traffic on r-help could be reduced by creating a second list where
more elementary questions are asked.
There may be other ways to partition the universe of questions

QoS in wireless networks
Hello,
I''m trying to configure several wireless routers with QoS support. The
idea is to implement differentiated services so that VoIP traffic gets
the maximal priority, then video, control traffic, interactive data
traffic and best-effort traffic.
I have seen that CBQ used to be chosen as qdisc for implementing
bandwith share in DiffServ but now HTB is preferred because it is

[PATCH][BTRFS-PROGS][V3] btrfs filesystem df
Hi Chris,
this serie of patches updated the command "btrfs filesystem
df". I update this command because it is not so easy to get
the information about the disk usage from the command "fi df" and "fi show".
This patch was the result of some discussions on the btrfs
mailing list. Many thanks to all the contributors.
From the man page (see 2nd patch):

Food for thought on these. I like have_one a lot. It speaks to me as a

oom-killer.
Hi all,
Just watching for my first time the 'oom-killer' call in a CentOS 4.2
workstation. System was running normally but with high load of nice process,
iow, rosetta and seti, others appart, nautilus, etc... i realized that after a
night of standby running normally, the next moorning after few manual operations
from X-session in local console, it started a massive swapping, this time
