idmap config ad: can't resolve domain users' uids
...ks to ansible, > >> >>> Have you set up libnss_winbind ? > > That is why it doesn't work ;-) fine, thank you for your time. So just to recap: there were two problems: 1) the syntax mistake in smb.conf pointed up before; 2) a logical mistake because wbinfo can't possibily work without the full setup that includes the nss part. Thank you, Francesco

Query: list within a list
...1]] <- matrix ... I need each element of A to be a list (all the lists of the same length), and then store matrices within these lists. Have I explained it in a reasonable way? Is it possible? If yes, is it efficient? For my purposes, I need to have A a list of length 20000 or 30000 (even 50000 possibily), and the lists within A of length 1000 and store square matrices of dimension 13. Using 2 PhoneJacks with Asterisk for Data calls.
Hi, I have recently discovered the project along with the PhoneJacks produced by quicknet, they could be the answer to something I have been looking into. I would like to be able to test using a dial-in server & possibily also a Windows RAS server, however I only have 1 phone line. I was thinking that I create a setup like that illustrated below to solve the problem:- Ext 1000 Ext 2000 ////////// ///////// ////////// /...

--delete for old file only?
...probably more difficult when we rsync out (for rsync in, the we can actually find out right away which files in that criteria using small Find::File perl script). The idea is for a pair of sites that rsync each other (and use the --delete option). The old file only delete mechanism will reduce the possibily of a new file just added accidentally removed by the next rsync with --delete. Maybe something to add to rsync itself? :-) I use rsync-2.4.4 in RH linux 7.0 Thanks! -- S P Arif Sahari Wibowo _____ _____ _____ _____ /____ /____/ /____/ /____ a...

how to get components / factors in factanal / princomp not loadings
...or a factor (not as.factor, but factanal) . test=princomp(USArrests, cor = TRUE) summary(test) just outputs, standard deviation, Prop of Variance and cumulative proportion of variance. test$loadings offers yet another proportion of variance scheme. why is that? Apart from that: Is there a possibily to get the component itself, i mean the linear combination that represents it vor each observation ? (Loading_i * variable_variable_i) thx in advance, best regards matt

How to get RAILS_ROOT when writing a ruby utility in /lib
Hi, Im writing a small ruby utility which at the moment is in /lib of my rails app. However I don''t get access to var''s like RAILS_ROOT, do I need to add an include to get this (and possibily other) rails functionality? Is /lib the right place for this kind of app, its a single ruby class which I call from the command line. Would a rake file be better for this kind of thing? Can rake''s run ruby code,, im guessing yes? Many thanks, K. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.c...

Request For Opinions: what to do about the synthetic statfvs "tweak"?
Hi list, We have an ancient hack that fuse not just passes on the statvfs data it's getting from the storage, but tweaks it by setting f_bsize / f_frsize to values of its own preference. [1] The supposed advantage is that f_bsize serves as a hint to applications for the preferred io size. (And regarding f_frsize -- in Linux it's a historical workaround for certain bugs in userspace[2]

searching on model and related attributes
...els. Let me try to explain this (sorry for lack of clarity, I''ve been reading so many search gems etc that I''m a little fuzzy now): * Stores have town and county fields * Stores has_many Products which each have their own name and level Users need to be able to find all Stores (possibily limited by town or county) which have one or more Products identified by name AND a minimum level. So I might search for Stores which have the Product ''Small Wooden Table'' with a level of at least 4 AND have the Product ''Oak Table'' at least level 10. Then I migh...

players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point?
Hi, We use Icecast version 2.4.4 and use mountpoint /main and include use fallback-mount. When the /main is offline 92% of the listeners go to fallback-mount and 8% disconnect. The format is 96k AAC and we have 8 mountpoint and 8 fallback-mount points include extra fallback files AAC. Are there any players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point? Best regards, Michel --

generating sequences with gaps
I need sequences that have gaps in them, such as the following: 4 5 6 | 12 13 14 | 20 21 22 a simple question, I've been scratching my head for a R function that will do this The : and seq do not allow this, and the c() can be used although not in an automatic way. I'm sure there is a way to do it without using a for() construct. Thank you

Repositories
Being very new to yum, I have to ask the question, where do you locate the various yum repositories, and once you know where they are, is there a standard configure file per-se, that needs to be added to the yum.conf. Any pointers appreciated. Sam -- Snowman
