Query: list within a list
Dear R users, I have difficulty to create a list within a list. Example: with > A <- vector(mode="list", 4) I create a list of 4 elements: > A [[1]] NULL [[2]] NULL [[3]] NULL [[4]] NULL In each element of this list I can store, for example, a matrix: A[[1]] <- matrix ... I need each element of A to be a list (all the lists of the same length), and then store matrices

players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point?
Hi Paul, Thanks for the quick response! We use the same type of encoder (Sam Cast) both live for both mountpoints on 96 Kb Joint Stereo. it is difficult to see if it is exactly the same. Is there a player that show exactly this? I will check this. We have use the limit-rate in our config. Thats work better for go to play the last fallback-mount file (i test this). See here our part of the

Using 2 PhoneJacks with Asterisk for Data calls.
Hi, I have recently discovered the project along with the PhoneJacks produced by quicknet, they could be the answer to something I have been looking into. I would like to be able to test using a dial-in server & possibily also a Windows RAS server, however I only have 1 phone line. I was thinking that I create a setup like that illustrated below to solve the problem:- Ext 1000

--delete for old file only?
Hi! Do you know any trick (scripts, combining rsync with other tools, etc.) to let rsync only delete the files with modification time before (older than) a certain date-time (can use the time of a file as a reference time)? It probably more difficult when we rsync out (for rsync in, the we can actually find out right away which files in that criteria using small Find::File perl script). The

how to get components / factors in factanal / princomp not loadings
Dear all, i wonder if there?s a command to obtain the actual values of a principal component or a factor (not as.factor, but factanal) . test=princomp(USArrests, cor = TRUE) summary(test) just outputs, standard deviation, Prop of Variance and cumulative proportion of variance. test$loadings offers yet another proportion of variance scheme. why is that? Apart from that: Is there a

How to get RAILS_ROOT when writing a ruby utility in /lib
Hi, Im writing a small ruby utility which at the moment is in /lib of my rails app. However I don''t get access to var''s like RAILS_ROOT, do I need to add an include to get this (and possibily other) rails functionality? Is /lib the right place for this kind of app, its a single ruby class which I call from the command line. Would a rake file be better for this kind of

Request For Opinions: what to do about the synthetic statfvs "tweak"?
...he libfgapi provided sizes are more granular. OTOH, I couldn't find any program in standard Unix userspace where the implementation commonly used in GNU/Linux would rely on the f_bsize hint. It does not mean there is none -- and then there is of course the vast space of non-standard userland. Possibiliities are: 1) retire the whole tweak and just pass on what we get from storage [3] 2) keep the f_bsize tweak, but drop the of f_frsize == f_bsize legacy workaround and take f_frsize from storage 3) keep everything as is, and put up with the fs stat divergence between transports +1) make...

players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point?
Hi, We use Icecast version 2.4.4 and use mountpoint /main and include use fallback-mount. When the /main is offline 92% of the listeners go to fallback-mount and 8% disconnect. The format is 96k AAC and we have 8 mountpoint and 8 fallback-mount points include extra fallback files AAC. Are there any players who cannot handle switching to a fallback mount point? Best regards, Michel --

[PATCH] podwrapper: simplify external references pointing to self
When convering a POD documentation, possibily combining various sub-documents together, simplify the L<> links that explicitly point to the very same documentation being generated. For example, when generating the virt-builder documentation, links like L<virt-builder(1)/SECTION> will be turned into L</SECTION> thus not making Pod::Simple parse them as external reference.

generating sequences with gaps
I need sequences that have gaps in them, such as the following: 4 5 6 | 12 13 14 | 20 21 22 a simple question, I've been scratching my head for a R function that will do this The : and seq do not allow this, and the c() can be used although not in an automatic way. I'm sure there is a way to do it without using a for() construct. Thank you

Repositories
Being very new to yum, I have to ask the question, where do you locate the various yum repositories, and once you know where they are, is there a standard configure file per-se, that needs to be added to the yum.conf. Any pointers appreciated. Sam -- Snowman
