SELinux context change on /etc/posfix/main.cf
This morning I received this report of a change to the SELinux context of /etc/posfix/main.cf on one of our hosts. from: system_u:object_r:postfix_etc_t:s0 to: unconfined_u:object_r:postfix_etc_t:s0 The contents of the file have been verified as unchanged. There was a yum update applied yesterday to this host and this may be an intended alteration. However, can anyone confirm...

mixed ordinal logistic regression
Dear Colleagues, I hope to know how ordinal logistic regression with a mixed model is made in R. We (My colleague and I) are studying the behavior of a beetle. The attraction of beetles to a stimulus are recorded: the response is Slow, Mid, or Fast. They are based on the time after the presentation of the stimulus to the beetles. Because we do not observe the behavior continuously but do

using posfix on the local LAN, with internet FQDN
Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this please. One of our clients has an in-house Postfix mailserver which basically downloads mail for the individual users from our mail server hosted on the web using fetchmail. They use our SMTP server to send mail. Their email clients are then setup to get & send mail from the server, on 192.168.2.254 (for POP3 & SMTP). All mail between them

CentOS-6, Postfix and Mailman
...ce wrt postfix. Based on groking the web I discovered that the recommended way to configure postfix to work with mailman is a script called postfix-to-mailman.py. I installed and modified this script to suit our installation. I followed the instructions therein and made the recommended changes to posfix, to wit: # postfix-to-mailman.py MailmanHome = "/var/lib/mailman"; # Mailman home data directory # Add mailman virtual domains to transport # /etc/postfix/transport: # mailman.ourdomain.tld mailman: # mailman.other.tld mailman: # # /etc/postfix/main.cf: # inet_inte...

Postfix "userlookup" via Dovecot Auth
I'm hoping to take advantage of authentication caching via dovecot-auth. I see that posfix can communicate with Dovecot-Auth, via SASL, but from what I can see, postfix only does this for authentication checks. Not 100% sure how postfix handles virtual_transport (I assume it needs to do a lookup via virtual_mailbox_maps), but I can't see anyway to get virtual_mailbox_maps to use dove...

Sendmail is considered deprecated
...two independent statements: 1. That I use postfix forever (postfix was written by Wietse Venema with security in mind). 2. That the company the OP works for judging from my reading of OP's post makes money by facilitating the creation of spam (by their customers). By no means I meant to say posfix is superior to sendmail in fighting spam. Neither of them is designed for fighting spam, each of them is merely MTA. Postfix, however, having human readable configs with rather logical logics makes it easier (for me) to administer, therefore easier (for me again) to integrate with anti-spam compone...

I get this email by fetchmail, and it goes to dovecot from which I retrieve it on my laptop. So I'm not entirely clear where the problem occurs. I would delete the email if I could find it, but it does not appear...

How to use different SASL mechanisms for ssl connections
...y will get an error. Also some MUAs seems to change SASL method from PLAIN to CRAM-MD5 on their own (according to my logs - after enabling the CRAM-MD5, many MUAs started to login with that, even though they have logged in with LOGIN/PLAIN up until then). I need the same that can be achieved in Posfix (for authenticated sending via SMTP) with those settings: smtpd_sasl_security_options = noanonymous, noplaintext smtpd_sasl_tls_security_options = noanonymous, nodictionary Is there any way how to achieve this behavior in Dovecot? I'm using Dovecot ver. 2.2.16 (from source) on Centos 7....

From Maildir back to smtp
Not sure how this can be done. Right now I'm running a free backup MX record service. People point their high MX records to my servers and if they go down we store the email. When they come back up it's delivered. What I want to do is have a premium service that would allow them to view through IMAP the stored email. In order to do that I would have to deliver the email locally to a
