Good evening from Singapore, Anybody downloaded, installed, and tried CentOS 8.0 1905 yet? Download link from CentOS download mirror near to Singapore: http://mirror.vodien.com/centos/8.0.1905/isos/x86_64/CentOS-8-x86_64-1905-dvd1.iso The DVD ISO filesize is 6.6 GB. I am downloading it right now...Approx. 20 mins more to download completion using 1 Gbps home fiber internet connection.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but I googled and attempted things for several hours today without success. I have a freshly installed CentOS 7 system that I'd like to disable the firewall and all iptables rules. ...s. I will test upgrade from C7 to disable epel and webtatic. I'm waiting for blogs and "youtubs" to report on appstream and what I could install from Fedora maybe. I have more confidence in Fedora repos than epel, since the latter is usually rebuild Fedora packages anyway. -- ?ukasz Posadowski

...e orphaned packages? That is a term for a package in the repo (and generally for any project), that is technically working, but no one is watching over it. Some maintainers speak openly about it, but some do not and a package is still in the repo, but do not receive updates, nor fixes. -- ?ukasz Posadowski
