Cyberpower CP550SL/AE550 Serial
Is anyone working on anything to support the Cyberpower CP550SL/AE550
Serial? Any idea if it uses the same or similar protocol as the other
Cyberpower models?
I have an HP 4952A Serial Protocol Analyzer and a Cyberpower CP550SL.
Once I get the CP550SL up and working in Windows over RS232 I'll hook up
the 4952A and see whats going on. I'm not sure what it uses for default
baud rate.

Sharp ZQ-290s sync software
Hi,
Since Sharps communication protocols are "top secret", I'm trying to
port their sync software to linux.
I'm new to wine, so this might be silly, but after hours of googling and
searching for solutions I'm posting this.
After installing DCOM98.exe, the Desktop software installed, and it
runs. Only problem is it doesn't detect the device connected to the
serial port

Dear guys,
Following your suggestions I was able to make NUT recognize my UPS model.
Actually, the only modification I had to introduce in solis.c

Problem with GeekSquad GS-1500 (Cyberpower 1500 avr lcd)
Hi,
I've installed Nut 2.0.5 on a RedHat 9 box.
I have a GeekSquad 1500 UPS. (GeekSquad is a BestBuy brand) I've found out
that
it's actually a CyberPower 1500 AVR LCD.
I'm using it with the serial cable.
I'm unable to get it working with any of the drivers provided with NUT.
I've tried cpsups, cyberpower and powerpanel.
here's the output of the different drivers

There should be apcsmart-old present in your build as well, so if it's
not possible - you can use the previous version easily.

Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Hello Charles and Douglas,
I really believe that BZ2200-BR model is the same as mine BZ1200-BR, with
different capacity.
If you see the BZ2200-BR specs you will notice the manufacturer
"APC-Microsol".
Those no-breaks have a USB port in it, but in fact it is a serial<->usb
cable, usually uses the port "/dev/cuaU0".
In mine, the serial<->usb chip is from FTDI, and

Findings of dual APC UPS sensor attachments
...ters are sent to the UPS to retrieve the current data: the letter
't' for temperature and the letter 'h' for humidity.
One of our co-workers decided to use the Windows based software from APC
and showed me that he can read both sensors fine. Ok, so we fired up
from sysinternals the portmon tool to study what is happening on the
serial port and we find the following:
The upper case letter 'T' produces 2 values:
21.08,20.09
The upper case letter 'H' produces 2 values:
037.2,034.0
If sensor 1 is not plugged in and sensor 2 is, then the output can look
like:
,034.3

Specs for Powercom Kingpro UPSes!
Hey all,
I found a pinout of powercom's Kingpro UPSes in their manual.
http://www.powercom-ups.com/manuals/kingpro.pdf
Page 11.
Unfortunately, this doesn't give PROTOCOL details. Does anyone have a
"first step" at how to decode that? (for example, how to gauge line
speed, how to "snoop" the serial port under windows? (for which the only
software exists right

Richcomm Serial driver
Hi,
I'm trying to configure my ups with nut which is a locally made one. It
uses a rs232 port to talk to the computer and comes with a software called
"Powermanager Lite" which is provided by Richcomm and supports Windows,
Linux and UNIX. According to the manual it uses the Richcomm circuitry to
talk to the computer and uses a drycontact protocol. Unfortunately I
couldn't
