[wietse@porcupine.org: Re: syncronous directory operation for linux (ext2)]
There's a big thread about filesystems on postfix-users@postfix.org
Could you shed some light on that issue?

Limit rsync running time
Hi
I'd like to rsync a large amount of data over a slow connection,
but only during night hours. I couldn't find a parameter that limits
the time that rsync is running, only the timeout on idle time.
I guess the way to go would be to start rsync, get the process
ID and kill the process later on.
Has anybody already written a bash script that would do something
like that? Are there other

Finally the drawbridge system for FreeBSD was mentioned as an
alternative. Some seem to have had better luck with this than with
with the linux firewall code. Others seem to be very happy with the
linux implementation.

Howyd all? Seems that I have been routed. Possibly
by a physical B&E, but who knows? Probably some
of you do.... anyways, some politically sensitive

That question I need put to the Postfix mailing list. I see nothing in the
spec file that bears on the matter and the tarball was pulled from:

postfix only uses the aliases map for local delivery. If the recipient email address is fully qualified, local delivery is not even in the picture (and I literally mean "the big picture", http://www.porcupine.org/postfix/doc/big-picture.html). The only way to get local delivery involved here is to add root to masquerade_exceptions.
postfix is not the problem here as the log shows

valid-client-cert not implemented in postfix
Hey. I noticed that postfix doesn't support valid-client-cert. I went
ahead and implemented it, for those who are interested. See attached
diff.
Code base:
ftp://ftp.porcupine.org/mirrors/postfix-release/experimental/postfix-2.7-20090712.tar.gz
Feedback is welcome.

STARTTLS MITM in Postfix
http://marc.info/?l=postfix-users&m=129952854117623&w=2
Dovecot doesn't have this bug. It discards all buffered data when STARTTLS command runs.
(Why do I think I've heard about this bug before? Or at least the same type of way to exploit it? Maybe there was another similarly exploitable bug.)

Everyone's experience is a book, as to write well write bad, writes thick writes thin, write well written mediocre, depends on yourself, others have no way to start writing instead. The cold winter, a group of porcupine crowded together to keep warm, but their prickles forcing them immediately separate; Warm instinct make them together again, pain makes them again divided. So after several times repeatedly, they finally found the best distance apart -- in the lightest of pain to obtain the biggest warm.

Getting the SID
Hello all,
I'm getting ready to upgrade an old outdated Samba installation. Moving to
new hardware and Samba 3.0.7.
And now I've got a little conundrum. How to I get the local SID from the
old samba server. It's running Samba 2.2.2 and it doesn't appear to have
the -X flag for smbpasswd that is supposed to be in 2.2.8 and it obviously
doesn't have the "net

Try to veto oplocks for that file.
In the global section of your smb.conf, add the following
veto oplock files = /NTUSER.DAT/

"rpcclient -U admin%pass enumdrivers 2" server gives me a list of stuff
like this:
