Questions about some PFB registers on NVAC cards
(Sending it to the correct Nvidia mailing list, sorry for the spam)
Hi,
When using acceleration with Nouveau on MacBook Pros with an 9400M (NVAC) card,
a PFIFO interrupt 0x00400000 is thrown during the initialisation of that card
(sometime after PFIFO and PGRAPH initialisation) and the laptop will lockup [1],
forcing users to load Nouveau without acceleration.
After some investigation, I found

[PATCH v3 2/2] fb/nvaa: Enable non-isometric poller on NVAA/NVAC
...as proposed by Ilia Mirkin;
- Remove enabling of bits 16 and 0 as they don't yield in any changes.
v3:
- Move code to subdev/fb/nvaa.c as suggested by Ilia Mirkin.
The following changes were made thanks to information provided by Robert Morell
from NVidia:
- Allocate a dma page for use by the pollers;
- Re-enable pollers at bits 16 and 0;
- Set pollers address to a proper value.

Register 100c14 controls a feature of the integrated GPU's memory interface
called the "poller". The pollers exist on MCP77/78 and MCP79/7A to ensure
that certain types of writes have flushed all the way to system memory. (I
think this is needed to ensure proper ordering of memory transactions.)
There are actually three important bits in that register, which control three

Hey Pierre,
This patch is incorrect. As Robert pointed out in an older thread,
the registers don't take the physical address of a page, but a
somewhat odd "negative offset from the end of carveout&q...

Re-using crontrollers with non-http requests
Hi!
I am creating a application that does a lot of background processing.
For this I am using a queue (starling in my case...) and several pollers
that will get a message from the queue and execute some code
corresponding do it.
The code that these pollers process looks a lot like some code in
methods included in some of my rails application controllers. I wanted
to DRY this a little bit, so I tried to use the controllers method.

Intermittent mount disconnect due to socket poller error
I happened to review the status of volume clients and realized they were
reporting a mix of different op-versions: 3.13 clients were still
connecting to the downgraded 3.12 server (likely a timing issue between
downgrading clients and mounting volumes). Remounting the reported
clients has resulted in the correct op-version all around and about a
week free of these errors.

[OT] snmp not reporting traffic values for a network interface
Hi all!
I know this is quite offtopic, but I found nothing in google nor in
the net-snmp mailing list, and I know there''s a lot of people here
graphing with snmp+rrdtool. I installed net-snmp 5.1.2-6.1 in Debian
to produce graphs for some ethernet interfaces. It seems it''s not
reporting correct values for them. Here''s my snmpd.conf (very simple)
and the output from the

Intermittent mount disconnect due to socket poller error
We've been on the Gluster 3.7 series for several years with things
pretty stable. Given that it's reached EOL, yesterday I upgraded to
3.13.2. Every Gluster mount and server was disabled then brought back
up after the upgrade, changing the op-version to 31302 and then trying
it all out.
It went poorly. Every sizable read and write (100's MB) lead to

Good day -
This is my first post to this list , and I''m new to Xen - any help on

I downloaded, built and installed xen-4.2.1 (hypervisor and tools) on
an x86_64 ArchLinux box
updated to latest software as of today.
I am trying to bring up a Linux guest from a remote iSCSI disk.
The iSCSI-initiator (open-iscsi) logs in to the remote target OK and

UPS piller AR single similar brand protocol
Dear Friends,
I need to connect with new UPS on my office, the brand is Piller, type
AR single
Only have rs232 port.
I have plan using raspberry pi as data poller + NUT
But when I try to find a compatible device list, there is no Piller on list.
Does anyone know the similar product brand protocol with Piller?
Thanks

cron ignore line?
I am troubleshooting a new cron line that is triggering logcheck.
Other cron entries do not trigger logcheck, even though they are
logged in /var/log/syslog
This is a security trigger, and I know it is because of certain words
in the cron entry. What I can't figure out is which entry in
logcheck is ignoring the other cron events? Here is a cron log from
syslog that does not

change parameters to periodically_call_remote

I have a search box (id=:phrase) on my rails ajax page. I want a

On the page containing the search box, I have the following:
