Route P2P on separate link
Hello, Is there a way to route p2p traffic on a separate ISP connection, just as you would choose a separate connection for http traffic? I tried all sorts of setups based on: http://www.braindump.dk/en/wiki/?wikipage=PolicyRouting but with no luck. Please help :) (ipp2p is up and running) _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO: http://lartc.org/

ip neigh show and NUD_NOARP state - is it possible ?
...39;'t see it in "ip neigh show" (but I see it in the routing cache). Could it be done ? (maybe with multicast/braodcast)? BTW, I see an example in the documentation which demonstrates NUD_NOARP on the loopback device, but this documentation is from quite a time ago. See: http://www.policyrouting.org/iproute2.doc.html#ss9.4.5 ... ... ip neigh ls dev lo lladdr 000000000000 nud noarp fe80200cfffe763f85 dev eth0 lladdr 00000c763f85 router nud stale 0.0.0.0 dev lo lladdr 000000000000 nud noarp 193.233.7.254 dev eth0 lladdr 00000c763f85 nud reachable Regards, Ian

FWMark routing trouble
Hi everybody, I''m trying to set up routing for 2 links to the internet on a box which produces traffic itself (e.g. DNS) and will route all our local traffic. AS one route is quick and expensive and the other one slow and cheap, I want to be able to route packets for some high-level protocols to the second link. If I correctly understood table 3-2 in

Policy based routing support for IPv6 in Linux
...| D | |---| | | |---| | R | |---| / \ / \ |-------| | S | |-------| The two interfaces of S both reside in a different IP subnet. For IPv4 this works ok, but IPv6 does not seem to interact with the Routing Policy DataBase (RPDB) as explained in http://www.policyrouting.org/PolicyRoutingBook/ONLINE/CH09.web.html section 9.2. Here it is stated that this might be solved in the later releases of the Linux kernel 2.5 and further. I am using RH 9 (2.4.20-8), 2.4 based kernel so that might explain why it does not work but before I decide to move to a newer kernel releas...

Newbie question - RPDB, policy routing etc...
Hello all, I am going through the LARTC howto to understand how the iproute2 works. But some concepts like Policy Routing, RPDB etc are not clear to me. I am pretty new to iproute, beeing using route command for long... From what I understand 1. rules (ip rule) tell how to select packets for routing and route (ip route) tell where to route the selected packets. 2. A collection of rules is
