I'm currently running SambaV1.9.18p8 on a Solaris 2.6 box. I've set up domain logon for all Windows 98 clients and everything works fine. However, we've just installed a few PCs with Windows NT. My

Setting up more than 1 samba domain logon server in the same subnet
Hello all, I have a samba domain logon server set up for Windows 98 clients using SambaV1.9.18p8. Logon and sharing are working perfectly fine. It is serving workgroup yyctpa. I created an account testuser in the

EMERGENCY: User profile for Win98 domain logon lost after upgrade to Oct 5 CVS code
Hello all, I'm in very big big trouble here. In an attempt to enable domain logon for NT workstations as well, I fetched the CVS code on Oct 5, 98. I successful built it with no error. I copied the smb.conf from a workable Sambav1.9.18p8 to the Samba2.0alpha. Then I started the smbd and nmbd of Samba2.0alpha. I rebooted one of the Windows 98 (which used to be working happily with

Failed to connect NT workstation to Samba2.0alpha8
Hi Folks, I downloaded Samba2.0alpha8 from Samba site. Compiled it and installed it on the Solaris 2.6 unix box. I set up domain logon for both Windows 98 clients and WinNT. There is no problem logging on from Windows98 and the shares are all working alright. Then, I followed Samba NTDOM FAQ and add the NT workstation name into /etc/passwd and smbpasswd (using smbpasswd -a -m
