Hello, I've got a redhat9 system with cups and samba3 installed. I want to use this machine for both local and network printing. On the local side apps can print just fine, the cups configuration is working great. Network-side is not the case. I've got a mixture of 2k and 9x clients, so i'm going to need drivers for both configurations. In smb.conf i've got: printcap name = cups

Hello, I'm running a samba and cups combo on a Centos 5.1 machine. It's acting as a lan print server. I used pointprint to upload drivers to the samba share so that windows clients could obtain them. This was working fine until i'm assuming the upgrade 5.0 to 5.1 on centos, when samba was upgraded. The driver paths are still there, drivers, shares, but the .tdb files are not. Hello, I'm trying to set up a CentOS 4.4 print server. I've attached a Usb Hp Deskjet 5150 printer to the box, and printed a test page. This worked fine, using cups. I then went to the samba howto, classical printer section, and followed the section for uploading pointprint drivers to the box. My first problem came when i told the error dialog no, then didn't see a new driver button in the resulting dialog either on the general tab or sharing tab. I next tried again, this time i said yes to the driver installation, went through, had the apw find the drivers, on my...
