[PATCH]vtd, one more fix about PMR disable
One more fix about PMR disable. Move PMR disable into per-iommu enable function, instead of in current iommu_setup which only takes effect on first VT-d engine. This change also enlightens S3 resume path. Signed-off-by Gang Wei (Jimmy) <gang.wei@intel.com> Signed-off-by Kevin Tian <kevin.tian@intel.com> Th...

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and -march
The -arch option is handled by Apple's "driver-driver", and the MacPorts build is probably not using that. See the driverdriver.c source file in llvm-gcc for details. ssh 4.x using aix 5.3 auditing
...sh 4.5 interacts with the audit subsystem within AIX 5.3. i get an event when a user logs in, but not when they exit via ssh. i can get it to work with telnet, however. It would seem to me that if an event is captured from the login, that the same would be true for the logout. I've opened a PMR w/IBM, but not getting very much help. below is an example of my /etc/security/audit/config file: start: binmode = off streammode = on bin: trail = /audit/trail bin1 = /audit/bin1 bin2 = /audit/bin2 binsize = 10240 cmds = /etc/security/au...

Fitting a choice model (Bradley-Terry generalization)
...comparisons. The problem is a generalization of Bradley-Terry but it differs from some generalizations in that the comparisons are not pairwise, and they don't produce a full ordering, just that one is preferred to the other four possibilities. I have had a look at the BradleyTerry2, eba, pmr and MLCM packages, none of which appear to provide the required functionality. I have also looked at a number of papers (Hunter, 2004; Firth, 2005; Huang Weng and Lin, 2006; and Fujimoto, Hino and Murata 2011). I think fitting using maximum likelihood should be possible, but would welcome any p...

Sending things to Jabber but not within an extension
...how to do them if they are. I have looked at what is on voip-info.org and what the book has but have not seen anything that seems relevant. Of course, I may be right that these are not possible at present, or I may have missed or misunderstood how to do it. I am on version 1.4.21.2~dfsg-1-pmr-2 - which is from Debian stable plus a locally added patch. Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise, even if just to confirm that it is not possible yet. -- Phil Reynolds mail: phil-asterisk at tinsleyviaduct.com Web: http://www.tinsleyviaduct.com/phil/ Waltham 66, Emley Moor 69, Droitwic...

Still nothing here: [yendi:~] echristo% llvm-gcc -march=nocona foo.c -S -arch x86_64 [yendi:~] echristo% So, perhaps you could send more information? Or bug the mac ports people. -eric On Aug 22, 2011, at 2:44 PM, Nichols A. Group logon Scripts
We're almost at the stage of rolling out our new RH6.1/Samba server - one last item. We have some 60 users and 7 departments. Can I use/how do I use a logon script to log groups onto the server. I currently have 1 logon script per user, but a small change in 1 share means updating every script. Can I log them on by group ID but still map their personal shares with the %U flag so I then

Samba and Seq. Read ahead.
...ading. When I realized that my cswitch was 10000 and syscalls were 150000 per 2 second vmstat interval, I knew I was doing some serious work, but I always seemed to have a fair amount of cpu wait. So I read *many* pages on the IBM site about tuning the VMM and none seemed to help until after some PMR's with IBM and some personal investigation. By defeating the read ahead mechanism with "vmtune -r 0", our throughput has gone through the roof! Now the only thing we see is Kernel and User time no Wait at all! And the disks have been happier than ever. As I see it, we were agressive...

Samba slowdown under load.
...*exact* same setup and XP boxes with only SP1 hitting it and not quite the same degree of load - no problems. I'm hoping this blurb will shake loose any thoughts on changes since 3.0.20 since a log level 10 is practically impossible with the number of machines hitting it at once. I do have a PMR open with IBM and so far they've only suggested APARs for GPFS (which we're not using). Cheers, Bill

AIX 5.3 Samba member server to an NT domain
Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm trying to get AIX to authenticate users off another Samba server (with an eye to doing the same off a Windows server at some point, just to be flexible). I have been using the binary distribution of Samba 3.0.22 to do this. While I have been able to get users to log in by using the WINBIND authentication method, they still cannot change their password or use FTP. I
