need help on R
Hi,
I am working on a modeling project for PMI-Australia and interested in
using R, especially POLYMARS or PLYCLASS. I use SAS /PC on WINDOWS for
the statistical analyses including Modeling. I got R downloaded to the
system but can't figure out how to interface with SAS so that I could
use SAS datasets already in place.
Also I could not fi...

removing files on windows as part of vignette building
This is about the Bioconductor package Genominator.
As part of the vignette building process, we create two sizable
sqlite3 databases, in the vignette directory (inst/doc). When we
build the source tarball, these databases are deleted, but when a
Windows binary is being made on the Bioconductor build servers the
file(s) are not removed (as far as I read the documentation/code they
ought to be).

[PATCH v1 4/4] KVM/vmx: enable lbr for the guest
...hich will need lbr to be used in KVM as well.
In this obscure case you can disable LBR support for the guest.
The common case is far more important.
It sounds like you didn't do any performance measurements.
I expect the performance of your current solution to be terrible.
e.g. a normal perf PMI does at least 1 MSR reads and 4+ MSR writes
for a single counter. With multiple counters it gets worse.
For each of those you'll need to exit. Adding something
to the entry/exit list is similar to the cost of doing
explicit RD/WRMSRs.
On Skylake we have 32*3=96 MSRs for the LBRs.
So with th...

what samba file do I need to change when manually changing gid in /etc/group file?
I have a need to renumber some of my /etc/group numbers from below 100
to a value that is above 500. (e.g 88 -> 535, 91 -> 632, etc etc, about
9 changes in total)
If I had to do this in an earlier version of samba then I think the
correct files I would have to keep in sync would be /etc/group and
/etc/samba/smbpasswd, simply changing the gid from the value below 100
to it's new value

Failure to Launch (was override -q option)
Attached is the very verbose ssh output. Just to be perverse, this time two
nodes lost connectivity. The only thing I see is lines saying that the two
connections are lost, although being honest I have no idea what everything
else means. For reference, 8 ssh cinnections were being made at the same
time for a 8x8mpi task.
N.B., since the OS I am using does not have rsh, I am currently using the

This has to be enabled separately for each guest, because it may prevent
live migration to hosts with a different family/model.

Message from syslogd@localhost ... kernel:Disabling IRQ #17
" Message from syslogd at localhost at Aug 27 08:57:53 ...
kernel:Disabling IRQ #17" is the message I got
on all my terminal windows at the time indicated.
What is it complaining about?
What should I do about it?
I got some information from dmesg.
It mentions IRQ 17, but the only error is
from before the most recent hibernation.
Here are some excerpts, in order from dmesg:
