HP Jetdirect, Intel Netport, Samba, And Windows XP
Hello, I have a bunch of Windows XP Pro machines, Samba 2.2.4, and several plotters on Jetdirect cards, and several printers on Netport 10/100 Muli-port network print servers. I have successfully configured Samba 2.2.4 to allow Windows XP to join the domain controlled by Samba and automaticaly create its own computer account on Samba. I would now like to setup Samba to share al...

Cannot get HP1055CM Color Plotter to work with "Point and Click"
G'day All, We are using Samba 3.0.6 as a PDC and print server. The OS is RHEL 3.0. I've gone thru the procedure detailed in "The Official Samba Howto..." book and the other HP and Lexmark LaserJet printers work properly using the postscript drivers. However, HP 1055CM Color Plotter works best with the HPGL/2 drivers if the drivers are installed on the client workstation but, do not work using the "Point and Click" method. I've used rpcclient to verify that the drivers are installed properly and compared the server configuration with workstation configuration. T...

multiping and ping plotter show 100% loss
Hi all, I am very new to wine and was able to successfully install it from the rpmforge repository. I was able to install multiping and ping plotter but when I try to use these programs to ping, they show 100% packet loss. Has anyone been able to setup these ping utilities to work in wine?

scalar assignment within a vector within function
Hello, I'm trying to create a vector of r^2 values for using a function which I will run in a "for" loop. Example: per<-rnorm(100,.5,.2)^2 x<-rnorm(100,10,5) y<-rnorm(100,20,5) fr<-data.frame(x,y,per) test<-rep(0,9) plotter<-function(i){ temp.i<-fr[fr$per <=(i*.10),] with(temp.i, plot(x, y, main=(i*.10),)) mod<-lm(y~x-1,data=temp.i) r2<-summary(with(temp.i, lm(y~x)))$adj.r.squared legend("bottomright", legend=signif(r2), col="black") test[i]<-r2 print(r2) abline(mod) rm(temp.i) rm...

custom function that plots other functions- problem
...in: mf<- function(f,range,quality){ x<- seq(range[1],range[2], quality); y<- f(x); plot(x,y); } mp(sin, c(0,2*pi), .02); but I encountered some problems while trying to provide more than one- the following structure generates mistakes: plotter<- function(f,howmany,range,quality){ x<-seq(range[1],range[2],quality) y<- matrix(f,how_many) plot(x,y[1,]) for(i in 2:how_many){ lines(x,y[i,]) } } plotter<-(c(sin(x),cos(x)),2,c(0,2*pi),.02) I would really appreciate your help with this program. postscript plotting to 36" roll plotter
Hello, First, my thanks to the R developers; it is a wonderful tool and supports my development and production activities in many helpful ways. My problem is as follows: I want to make long (~ 20-30 feet) plots on a HP 755 (36" color roll plotter) using the R postscript command. I have tried paper="special" with appropriate width and height, and everything seems ok from the postscript side. But the plot gets truncated to whatever -o PageSize I specify (which, of course, makes sense). But using -o w2592 (36" roll unlimited...

Plotter?
Hello all, How do we install a plotter in Centos5? Is it regarded as ordinary printer? It's using an Ikon Corporation card to connect at PCI. The driver for the card (IHCP) is successfully compiled and installed. Any hints are really appreciated. Thank you. -- Fajar Priyanto | Reg'd Linux User #327841 | Linux tutorial http://...

Jet Direct Cards and Print sharing
...searched thru the database of the mailing list and seen other people where having the same problem.. but didn't see a clean cut answer.. I have a Samba server running on Redhat 6.2 it runs perfect as a file server to about 30 NT4/windows2000 computers. It is also a Print server connected to 3 plotters and a laser printer (all Jet Direct connected) works great there also except for one thing.. when the plotters are currently busy receiving a plot and someone tries to plot something elese there windows will hang until the plotter has a chance to respond to the send. I imagine it's because it...

unable to get pushed drivers to work with hp plotters
Hello all! I am running a samba network remotely and am unable to get the driver version needed for cad applications to work It's for a hp750c. I can push the driver fine. And previous versions (the one that came with 2000 and 2.65) worked; but were unsatisfactory for CAD. The version that my cad users want is version 4.64 but for the life of me I can't get that version to work. The

I am trying to set up a jetdirect plotter in our network (samba server running un suse linux 6.2). Designjet 1050C, JetDirect question
Any problems serving up this plotter with Samba 2.2.4? I am using RH 7.3, the plotter has a jetdirect card. I am not using samba print drivers, just passing it through raw to 192.168.21.50:raw1. Planning to let windows 98 clients use their own drivers. I couldn't get a job to print (from linux or windows). I ran out of time for...

very large pair() plot
...t each other. I know how to do this using pair()...my problem is that there are just too many plots to fit in the window. Is there any way I can get all the plots to fit and make the font size and marker size scale so it is readable? My goal is to create a *.pdf file that I can send to our large plotter.
