Ocfs and EMC Powerpath
A couple years ago, we moved to Oracle RAC on Linux using ocfs that is
SAN attached to an EMC CLARiiON. At the time, there was a reason that we
did NOT use EMC's Powerpath (I just can't recall what that reason was).
What I'd like to know is if there are any issues with introducing
Powerpath now.

* 2.4.9-e.38enterprise
* ocfs-2.4.9-e-enterprise-1.0.13-1

an alternative to R for nonlinear stat models
...in R took 5-10 minutes, depending on the settings,
in ADMB it took 1-2 seconds!
I'm reporting this so that people who have performance issues with nonlinear
statistical models in R will know that there is a good free alternative for
more difficult problems.
There is also a help platfrom equivalent to the one for R, and people
running it are extremley helpful.
I hope this might help someone
cheers

<yangl1996> I think the communication happens in these situations:
<yangl1996> 1. github sync commit info to reviewing platform (create a issue on reviewing platfrom)
<yangl1996> 2. when staff accept the commit on reviewing platfrom, this actions is synced to github
<yangl1996> 3. the one way sync of repo data from github to git.c.o

[Fwd: Re: Ocfs and EMC Powerpath]
...S.
Kernel upgrades are the biggest issue that we have, as some of the
drivers are dependent on modules built for specific kernels, and if your
not careful you can have boot issues with them.
I would suggest at least kernel e59 and OCFS v1.0.14.
Powerpath may only be supported to v3.7 on that 2.1 platfrom, but I
would doublecheck that with EMC support matrix.
We had issues with iostat statistics as well, but they seem to be better
with the latest systat packages, so make sure you update that as well.
Other than that, they seem to work fine.
Hope that helps.

Solution to Dovecot-lda configure problem on RHEL4/FC4
Hello,
After a long break from Dovecot I finally managed to compile Dovecot-lda
on RHEL 4 x86_64 platfrom. For some reason $LIBICONV translates to a
@LIBICONV@ on config.status which generates loop for sed. Solution is
to manually edit "configure" after autogen.sh.
In configure change line
s, at LIBICONV@,$LIBICONV,;t t
to
s, at LIBICONV@,,;t t
After this configure finishes succesfully....

vorbisenc creates silent ogg files on ARM EABI
Hi
Sorry, the reason I joined the list is for help finding a bug that
occurs when libvorbisenc is compiled and run on ARM EABI systems
(current Debian, Gentoo, OpenEmbedded etc).
The symptom is that oggenc produces shorter ogg files than it should
(about 1/2 size) that decode to the correct duration but of total
silence.
libvorbis/examples/encoder_example does the same on these systems, but

Support for different Architectures
Dear All,
I am new to FLAC. I have to port FLAC on sh4 architecture. Can somebody
please let me know which architectures FLAC supports today? Also if
somebody has an idea about the functionality of the code written in
assembly, it would be of great help.
Thanks and Regards

wtmpx problem on Solaris 8 sparcv9 (64bit) environment
Hello
When I was using OpenSSH-2.9p2 in Solaris 8 sparcv9 (64bit)
environment, I found some trouble that wtmpx has broken.
The size of utmpx structure object becomes larger than 32 bit environment
in sparcv9 environment. Therefore, instead of using utmpx structure object,
using futmpx structure object is better.
In sparcv9 environment, futmpx structure object is used instead of utmpx

In conclusion, Polly with a adaptive and robust back-end would greatly help
developers who would like to use Polly with their parallel computing
platfroms and it is the most pressing problem for Polly to make such a
back-end.:)
Sincerely,
Tsingray
PS. We have come to an agreement that all these should be done patch by
patch upon the current back-end.

How to build Xen with on-src-b79
I am trying to build Xen from on-src-b79. According to opensolaris website, all xVM sources should be in the on-src-b79 tree, and no additional sources are required. I followed the procedure for doing the nightly build, and I expected that, as a result I will build, along with the Solaris kernel, the xen.gz image. I was hoping to copy that xen.gz image to my test machine, so I can boot with my own

[LLVMdev] GSoC2012 proposal -- A new Back-end for polyhedral Optimization framework for LLVM (Polly)
Hi all,
My name is Qingrui Liu, a student at Sun Yat-sen University, China. I
have been working on high level synthesis project which is implemented as a
back-end of LLVM, in the last two years. When I want to use Polly to
generate parallel LLVM-IR from Polly-IR for me as input to my high level
synthesis tools at the begining of this year, I found that Polly's back-end
is not flexible and
