...86_64.rpm
(Somewhere along the way, I'm sure I just did "dnf install *gluster*".)
The two volumes were created using the quick start guide:
https://docs.gluster.org/en/main/Quick-Start-Guide/Quickstart/
which means that, after establishing peering, I used these simple commands:
(on pjs) gluster volume create j pjs:/xx/brick
(on pms) gluster volume create n pms:/xx/brick
where /xx on these 2 systems are small, spare, otherwise empty,
identical filesystems of about 40G, formatted ext4. No other options
were used in creation.
As I said in my initial note, it seems that the under...

that effort ended prematurely and I never finished the real setup. I am
coming back to it now for other purposes.
I'm on Fedora 39 with gluster 11.1. I'm using this guide:
https://docs.gluster.org/en/main/Administrator-Guide/Geo-Replication/
Hosts are pjs and pms, with respective volumes j and n.
I have created, started, and mounted the volumes, each on their own
localhost.
I can also have each mount the other's volume, so general operation
seems ok.
I have added the geoacct user and group, set up password-less login for
each local root ->...

geo-rep will not initialize
Hi,
Yeah shared storage is needed only for more than 2 nodes to sync the geo rep status.
If I have some time , I can try to reproduce it if you could provide the gluster version, operating system and volume options.
Best Regards,
Strahil Nikolov

Dovecot, LDAP and something akin to Postfix' "table search order" from virtual deliver.
Hi.
/* The short version. */
Is there a way to mimic Postfix' "table search order" in Dovecot's LDAP
configuration of pass_filter/user_filter?
/* Here goes the detailed description :) */
Just to quote the http://www.postfix.org/virtual.8.html:

The search order is as follows. The search stops upon the

ext3 crash after RedHat 7.2 installation
Hi everyone,
I've been running Redhat 7.2 (new install) for about 2 weeks now
without any problems, but today I was not so lucky.
My system hung while I was trying to configure the kernel-source RPM using
'xconfig'.
After rebooting the system, it seems that my whole ext3 file system is
corrupted.
I get the message:

[PATCH 0/9] tools: remove or disable old/useless/unused/unmainted stuff
depends on "autoconf: regenerate configure scripts with 4.4 version"
This series removes some of the really old deadwood from the tools build
and makes some other things which are on their way out configurable at
build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge
them to be.
