dovecot and maillists problem
Hello there!
I have a little trouble with using dovecot as lmtp and maillists.
I use
dovecot 2.0.13
with exim 4.72 on Debian 6.0. (All stuff at one host).
info of maillists is store in mysql table, for example:

Lower-case filenames on receiver side
Hi everybody,
i've been using rsync for quite some time to sync files between my
laptop and my desktop
for example i use the following to backup the music library (from Mac
to Linux)
> rsync -rvzu --exclude=.DS_Store --delete --exclude 'Podcasts/*'
> $LOCAL_MUSI $REMOTE_MUSIC >> $LOGFILE
An odd thing i always noticed is that some files were always copied,

Colours for sunflowerplot
Dear fellow R users,
I would like to draw a "sunflowerplot" because I have data (decade by
month) that plots multiple times on the same x-y co-ordinates. Further I
would like to colour each of the points/sunflower leaves on the plot
according to the group they belong to (i.e. which type of event each
represents within that decade and month). I thought that this would be

ocfs2 <-> 10G (10.2.01) Clusterware
RHEL 4 (CENT OS)
Am I waisting my time trying to get the 10G Clusterware installer to use OCFS2 volumes for the voting and OCR disks ?
The ocfs2 setup seems happy on both nodes but the 10G installer says
the location entered for the oracle cluster registry (OCR) is not shared across all the nodes in the cluster
Do the volumes need to mounted ? I did with no change .

ferret/lucene syntax
I jut noticed this example in the lucene documentation*:
title:(+return +"pink panther")
I have been using this syntax:
+title:(return AND "pink panther")
Seemingly with success. Are both acceptable? I couldn''t find any
documentation on "the plus sign" itself.
Thanks for any pointers.

plot focus
I am doing calculations in a loop and then plotting the results by adding a
point to each of 2 charts at the end of the loop. Its very informative as
you can see the progression through time.
My problem is, if I have 2 plots, I don't know how to get the focus back to
the first plot.

Subset and point plot
OK, I need help plotting. I have column headings of Day, Wgt, Foodin, Rep,
Grp and Tanks. Rep=c(1,2,3) and Tanks=c(a1,a2,a3,a4,a5,a6,
c1,c2,c3,c4,c5,c6, h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6).
I created a subset where I only would like Rep=2, and Tanks=c(a4,c4,h4) and
would like to graph (points) of Wgt and Day. I would think that I only need
3 colors, but when I run with only 3, only 2 lines show up. When I add

Colour filling in panel.bwplot from lattice
Inspired by colouring the dots of box-whisker plots I am trying to also
fill the boxes (rectangles) with different colours. This seems not to
work as I expected.
Looking at the help page of panel.bwplot it says: 'fill - color to fill
the boxplot'. Obviously it is only intended to fill all boxes with only
one colour?
Nevertheless the following example shows, that 'fill' from

Is it possible to simulate a time-series in R based on 1/f noise?

metaflac --show-all-tags (patch)
Hi folks,
I always wondered why there is no "metaflac --show-all-tags", in
parallel to --remove-all-tags. Attached you can find a patch for
your consideration. Sample output:
% metaflac --show-all-tags *.flac

Simple categorical scatter plot
New to R. I am trying to create a simple xy plot wherein the line
segment color is determined by a categorical column
The following does not change colors for me, probably because I don't
quite have a handle on either functions or value mapping syntax.
----------
time <- c(1, 2, 3, 7,10,11,14,16,20)
pressure <- c(0,10,20,20,50,18,60,65,90)
status <- c(0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 3, 3,

barplot colors
Dear all,
I have a 2 by 2 matrix and I would like to do a barplot with it. (so 2 bars with each having 2 stacks.). I would like to have one colors per stack, so 4 different colors total.
The problem is that R is only given me 2 colors (the same two for the bottom stack and the same two for the top stack). Any idea how I can do to have 4 colors? (without using ggplot2 preferably)
Here is my
