IAX Voice Quality Issues
...e call seem to be lost and replaced with silence. Sometimes I can't hear the person talking othertimes they can't hear me. This situation comes and goes throughout the call. Bandwidth isn't an issue as I have a 3MB/1MB connection and there is at most 2 concurrent connections. Also using pingplotter to monitor iax2.sixtel.net shows little or no packetloss. Just as further info, I am using a SPA-2000 to connect to * with G711u as the preferred codec. Anyone else experience the like or have any suggestions on what may be causing this or ideas on how to debug? Brian

VoIP Provider problems
Hello all, We recently configure an asterisk server to use with an VoIP provider to make calls to a PSTN. We use (voipjet, nufone, diamond....) We feel that we haven't got the quality that we hope. Sometimes our calls gets mute, or we feel communication cuts on our phone calls. We have got an QOS router (Draytek) reserving 1/2 of our wideband to the SIP an IAX2 protocols, and an ADSL line

What is acceptable network latency forvoipconnection?
...et one, but the only penalty to the ISP if they do not meet is a bill credit not to exceed some low $ figure. Read the SLA and understand it before signing, and them hold them to the deal. A good SLA states that if they don't meet the SLA (some percentage of the time) you don't pay. We use pingplotter, not sure if there is a Linux version, but I think there is. Should not matter though as long as you have at least one windows box on the network (and who doesn't?). Tune it to emulate you RTP stack (you will need to do some web research to learn how to do that). > -----Original Message----...

I have tied with: Pingplotter Filezilla server administrator interface Viking (from Avanza) These applications works, but are not able to connect to internet. Wine IE does reach internet, and so does the old game Total Annihilation, after putting in some DLLs in windows/system32 for direct play. Any ideas?! I have wine 1.1.8...

VoicePulse Connect 4 Channel Limit?
Does anyone know what happens if you try to have 5 concurrent outgoing channels with VoicePulse Connect? Does it give you an error message or a reorder or something? I'm worried about using them as my primary carrier if this is the case. I noticed that they supposedly only allow 4 channels for free and then you have to pay $20 a month extra per channel. I'm guessing this is for inbound
