[LLVMdev] Proposal: MCLinker - an LLVM integrated linker
...Alternative hash table support - Crunching support - Be fast - Native cross-architecture support - Multipass lookup - Unit tests - Coded to LLVM standards (to allow inclusion in LLVM) - linker is a library - C and C++ support - Architecture support: i386, x86_64, ARM, PPC(64), - MIPS(64), PiNaCl - Possible architecture support: sparc64 You might notice that some are really obvious, but we were trying to capture as many requirements as possible. -- Brooks -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Force group ?
I have a number of users with home directories under /home/????. Their default group is users. I need to make some of these directories available for other users, so I've created a group that's actually the same as the users name of their home directory. For example, drwxrwx... georgef georgef ...... Then, I add a bunch of users into that group in /etc/group.

In order to keep the discussion easy to follow, I will discuss them in other threads. BTW, sorry for the appearance of "Email Confidentially Notice". I asked our IT remove it from all our emails...

[LLVMdev] Proposal: MCLinker - an LLVM integrated linker
Hi all, We are developing a linker, MCLinker. MCLinker is a linker for LLVM. It leverages the LLVM machine code (MC) layer to link object files and bitcodes, and generate shared objects and executable files. Motivation ---------- The development of MCLinker was started out of the need for an LLVM integrated linker. LLVM lacks an integrated linker; hence, it relies on external linkers to

Samba 2.0.5a vs 2.0.6 and password changing
Hi... I wonder if someone can shed some light onto a password changing problem I'm having with 2.0.6. I have a script that is launched using the 'unix sync' procedure which all worked fine in 2.0.5a which using a script like this. #!/bin/sh echo "Enter old password:" read $OLDPASS ... ... I've only listed the first two lines as this is where it's getting stuck.

2.0.7 & memory
Has anyone noticed 2.0.7 taking more memory per process than 2.0.6 ? Our 2.0.6 processes usually run at an RSS of 1500K, but in 2.0.7 it's creeping up to 4000K at which point our 2.0.7 server is swapping like crazy.
