[LLVMdev] Error while loading profile information
Hi all,
I am trying to load a profile information (llvmprof.out) which has been
separately created, to get the execution count of each basic block and use
it to estimate the execution count of machine basic blocks for getting how
many times any instruction gets executed, for ARM specifically. The error
on running the code comes as:

Good image API for RoR?
Hi, I need a relatively simple image api for the app I''m writing. I
need to copy photos, rename them, and re-size them to put them in a
standard format.
I tried using RMagick/Imagemagick, but the photos would be corrupted on
re-size, so I''m looking for some suggestions.

FW: Maps and plotting
Thanks for the help on the translucent dots. What would be the best
method for creating a map of the facility? I looked into map* in the
libraries and didn't find anything on creating the maps, just using
them.
Thanks again...

Maps and plotting
At our facility we have multiple sample points that are sampled on any
given day. What I would like to do is create a map of the facility with
the sample points (and point labels) and when we have out of
specification results, place a transparent dot over the area on the map.
As the number of OOS results builds up, I envision the dot getting
darker.
Are there any packages out there that can aid

[LLVMdev] A Question about LLVM-backend
Hello, all.
I want to manipulate LLVM-backend to emit other compiler's IR, in this
case, VPO's IR.
So, what i want to know is.. Is there a project to be referred? (For
example, "Do LLVM-backend -> GIMPLE" project exist?)
Or, how can I manipulate it easily?
Thanks,
Cho Yeong-pil

linking, exported symbols
Hi all,
I've got an application here (flumotion) which uses libtheora (via
gstreamer, though I think that's irrelevant here) and many other bits of
code, one of which is PIL (Python Imaging Library), which also has
chunks implemented in native code.
When I run this, I get a crash in libtheora, the top of the stacktrace
looking like:

[LLVMdev] Profiling in LLVM Patch Followup 1
Hi Andreas,
Thanks for breaking things up.
I applied two pieces of this patch in separate no-functionality-change
commits, here:
http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?view=rev&revision=75623
and here:
http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?view=rev&revision=75625
I merged in my changes to your patch, which results in the attached
patch. There may be some missed merge errors. The main

[LLVMdev] Profiling in LLVM Patch Followup 1
Hi,
this is the first in a series of patches to cleanup and improve the LLVM Profiling Infrastructure.
First and foremost this patch removes duplicate functionality from ProfileInfoLoader and ProfileInfo:
The ProfileInfoLoader performed not only the loading of the profile information but also some synthesis of block and function execution counts from edge profiling information. Since the

as far as I know there is no LLVM IR -> gimple pass. LLVM used to have a C
backend that turned LLVM IR into C. I think it was removed

RPM upgrade question
I upgraded my samba package on my RedHat 6.1 installation via RPM. I used
the samba-2.0.7-20000425.i386.rpm file. I had to first uninstall the
packages:
samba-common-2.0.5a-12
samba-client-2.0.5a-12
because of package dependencies. I'm guessing, then, that the
samba-2.0.7-20000425 package includes the files that had been included
separately with the common and client packages. Is this

Samba + Quickbooks file problems
I updated samba to samba-2.0.7-4 (RedHat RPM). That didn't help.
I changed the file ownership to user.group from user.user. That didn't help.
I changed the file permissions to -rwxrwxr-- as you had suggested, and then
it worked.
(QuickBooks 99 needs *both* the file permissions set as noted *and* the
ownership also.)
However, when everyone closes QuickBooks the QBI file is deleted, and
