NT4 IP stack failure under heavy load when using smbfs
...pletely without any errors or messages or something else. The box behaves
like unpluged from the network.
I have no idea why this happens except that NT is from microsoft and intel
is inside:-)
Do you have a better idea?
The NT4 servers are 1U rackmount equipped with Asus CUR-DLS mainboard, dual
PIII866, 512MB RAM, ICP-Vortex raid controller. I use the onboard ethernet
controller (Intel server adapter) with the latest drivers from Intel. OS is
NT4SP6a.

sync slowness. ext3 on VIA vt82c686b

filesystems are ext3 and are on the same harddrive. When sync is running,
the harddrive light stays on but I don't hear it doing anything. dmesg doesn't
show any errors either. Below is the `time` output for each command. If you
need anymore information let me know..
The CPU is a PIII866 with 512MB RAM.

Howdy all:
I am experiencing a seemingly random problem with several print queues on a
samba 2.2.0 /VA-RHL 6.2.4 server. We currently have 73 printers on a dual
PIII866 VA 1220 server.
Everything works fine for the most part. Once in a while a queue will display
as paused when viewed from NT and jobs will be spooled but will not print.
Examination of the server shows printing and spooling enabled and all other
queues work normally. This seems to happen once ev...
