[PATCH node] o-c-config will only run when local storage is configured. rhbz#505560
o-c-config checks to see if local storage is configured prior to starting. If local storage is not configured then it reports an error and exits. Signed-off-by: Darryl L. variables in object names
Is there any way to put an argument into an object name. For example, say I have 5 objects, model1, model2, model3, model4 and model5. I would like to make a vector of the r.squares from each model by code such as this: rsq <- summary(model1)$r.squared for(i in 2:5){ rsq <- c(rsq, summary(model%i%)$r.squared) } So I assign the first value to rsq then cycle through models 2 through

A Hardware Observation (and Thank You To John Pierce)
A few days ago, John Pierce made a comment about Intel network cards and that they are more reliable and a better overall card than most. (This is not exactly what he said, but rather I am paraphrasing) My small cluster of servers all had generic PCI nics in them (I was not using any onboard NICS). Today, I replaced the NICS with Intel Pro 1000 PCI-E NICS and replaces our small 5 port TP-Link GB

How do I read a text (.csv) file to match a matrix/cross tab? (Object confusion??)
I'm having a problem reading data to set control totals for a dataframe. I want to adjust a dataframe based on a 2-d table of values, which I get by using : > CurrentX1Sums <- as.matrix(xtabs(~tripid_nu+lineon, data=SurveyData)) > CurrentX2Sums <- apply(CurrentX1Sums, 1, sum) I've created a .csv file with new (target) sums that looks like this: tripid_nu Warner

Bacula backup system
On c7 I can't find mod_perl. Configuring bacula client requires only few lines...with bacula you need only bacula pkgs and one database. With backuppc there are different services to install and configure...some external to centos base. In c7, without mod_perl I must run cgi with suid... Ok bacula is more complex (complexity I mean for its configuration) but It is better organized and less

User error in calling predict/model.frame
I want to predict values from an existing lm (linear model, e.g. lm.obj) result in R using a new set of predictor variables (e.g. newdata). However, it seems that because my linear models was made by calling scale() on the target predictor that predict exits with an error, "Error in scale(xxA, center = 9.7846094491829, scale = 0.959413568556403) : object 'xxA' not found". Nested source() errors
Does anyone know of any issues with nesting source() calls within multiple scripts? I have at least one script which always finds errors when I source it but runs fine when run on its own. It containd source() calls to other scripts and it seems to fail during the first nested source() command. Ken Kenneth B.
