Samba 3.0 alpha 24 and LDAP
...a message
about 'parent does not exist'. Does anyone know what this means??

Using LDAP and Samba I'm getting a stange error
Does anyone know what the following error means, and what I can do to
fix it??

I cant get samba to recognize my smb.conf file
...e the same problems with the Samba 2.2.3 CVS. I am
running 'configure -with-ldapsam -with-acl-support'. I am totally lost
at this point what do I need to do to get this working again?? Would
recreating my smb.conf file fix this??

HEAD CVS branch and group mapping problems
...;t show all my linux users to my samba users (is it even
possible?). Thanks for helping me get this far I really appreciate it.
I really like the idea that there is a way to give users a familiar
desktop environment while maintaining the stability of linux.

Instalation Samba!! HELP...
Dear friends,
We have been trying to install the Samba Services and we have downloaded
the rpm package from the CD of Linux.
We believe that the packages are installed now, at least we did that the
instruction says to us.
When we probe the instruction:
smbclient -U% -L localhost
to see the what the server is offering to the network, it answers to us
the correct thing. I mean, the display

Win Xp logon issues
When I type the user name and password to logon onto our network (samba is
the pdc) it takes a long time to login. How can I go about speeding this up?
Is it a Win Xp issue or do I need to tweak samba? Also, when I login in to
an XP machine I get a script (looks like some sort of logon script) that
shows up in notepad on the desktop and stays there until I close it. What is
this and how can I
