Odd: I just pulled SVN and compiled.. Wonderful new logging code, btw! Now, why in the WORLD would the resolution be failling?! nsswitch.conf / resolv.conf / hosts is all fine.. *shrug* I can obviously put IPs instead of hosts in the URLs, however things still fail.. -- Chris Pickert ldd output-- ldd ./icecast libcurl.so.2 => /usr/lib/libcurl.so.2 (0x4001f000) libssl.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.7 (0x40049000) libcrypto.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 (0x40078000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x4016e000)...

force create mode / force directory mode in 3.0.13 behavior changed?
...tements around, and according to docs, force does a bitwire OR on the mode, no AND or masking. Still, with 750/640 forced, I get -rwxr--r-- and drwxr-xr-x thesedays..... very odd... Anybody else use these statements that might be able to replicate or tell me to go RTFM one more time? -- chris pickert for reference, the statements are:: force create mode = 640 force directory mode = 750

How can I use muliple cores of CPU in Windows or OS X?
Dear all, I have about 50 pages of R codes and ran it in both OS X and Windows. It takes at least haft a day to have the results. The running time is not very different in both Systems. I found that R does not use all cores of CPU by default. Can anybody help me to use all cores of CPU in my programming from the beginning or through programming in both OS X and Windows? Many thanks your

If I disconnect and reconnect the encoders, the source_connection stat rises '4' for all four encoders but, the sources value still remains at '3', as if it doesn't count the disco / reconnect. <p><p><p>-- Chris Pickert --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Multiple String word replacements: Performance Issue
Dear experts, I?ve been on this for weeks now, and couldn?t find a solution..Sorry for the long description. I figured I post many details, so you get the problem entirely, although it?s not hard to grasp. **Situation:** Data frame consisting of 4 million entries (total size: 250 MB). Two columns: `ID` and `TEXT`. Text strings are each up to 200 characters. **Task:** Preprocessing the text
