Is there a way building a disk that will be able to use more than one type network adaptors (e.g. 8139too, via-rhine and ne2k-pci) without recompiling everything from the scatch? ...oot the disk with this new kernel (everything else is the same) it does not boot after the message "uncompressing kernel... OK" it does not boot the kernel it just hangs. Could this be a problem with syslinux or is this a kernel only problem? Any help would be appreciated... Short version: Is there a way to find out which interface PXE booted from? Long version: I'm working on a cluster of machines, each using a networked root filesystem, booting via PXE. Some of these machines have multiple interfaces, some of which are going to be on networks that have functioning DHCP servers that will offer addresses. I'd like to have modular network drivers.
