php 5.6 on CentOS 6
...part of the migration process I need to upgrade an app and corresponding data files which requires php 5.6. I do have php 5.5 (and 5.4) installed since earlier but now tried to install php 5.6 from SCL which failed. This is the package I tried: https://www.softwarecollections.org/en/scls/rhscl/rh-php56/ but the error message is that there is no package 5.6. Is this correct and what would the recommended procedure then be since I do need 5.6 for this. Use Remi's collection or something else? I was hoping SCL would have it since it is well-tried and easy to sandbox on the computer. Thank you....

I use freebsd (and its not a toy distro like fedora), and you have several ports, php, php54, php55 and php56 to choose whatever you need. Please, dont think that I dont appreciate the RH job on this, some one should support a long term version, some applications needs this, but very few. Thats all. I needed to say this, this is the only thing that bother me of centos, and its a little thing. The solut...

CentOS-SCL - php 5.6?
Is there any information available about what packages are being planned for the SCL? For example, will PHP 5.6 be made available & maintained? By "maintained" I mean kept up to date with back ported security patches and such. -- ----------------------------------------------- - Nick Bright - - Vice President of Technology - -

PHP vulnerability CVE-2016-4073
Hello, My server with CentOS 6.8 just failed PCI scan, so I'm looking into vulnerable packages. PHP 5.3.3 have multiple vulnerabilities, some of them are fixed/patched or have some kind of workaround. But I can't find a way to fix this one. Red Hat state: under investigation. https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/cve-2016-4073 This CVE is 6 months old, and it doesn't look like it
