phonecore, gnophone from CVS.
...gister an everything.
Anyway, I decided to move to the cvs version of gnophone, so I checked
out EVERYTHING from cvs.digium.com (yes, a cvs -z7 co .). I installed
libiax2, gsm (the one that was inside gnophone), and got gnophone to
start compiling. But after a while, it complains about "phonecore", but
I can't find phonecore anywhere in the CVS. I found a couple of
references about that being included in the gnophone, but it is no there
(at least not in the cvs version), in the 0.2.4 there is a phonecore.c,
but according to what I read, there is a "phonecore" packag...

SMS Service over SIP/IAX/h323/MCGP

Linux SIP/IX clients
DOes anyone have any good suggestions as to good SIP or IAX clients for
linux? I have set up and am currently testing asterisk in a controlled
environment. I have gnophone running on one of my boxes but the gnophone
site has been down. So I can't seem to fing the IAX and Ix-devel rpms or
the gsm and gsm-devel rpms. So that prevents me from setting up gnophone
on another box. I am

tunnel iax via gnophone with ssh?
Hey all...I'm trying to use gnophone to connect to my asterisk box
behind my firewall..I thought I could just setup a tunnel with something
like ssh host.com -L5036:asteriskserver:5036 and just change my gnophone
to connect to localhost:5036 but I never see anything happen on the
asterisk server. I'm even trying this on the same network just in case
there is something funky with NAT.
