Phishing attempt
FYI/Heads up,
I /just/ received what looks like a phishing attempt for information
about Open Source PBX usage. It says it comes from Digium but all the
links (including the one for digium.com) point elsewhere.

[LLVMdev] Phishing Attack?
...ssword, which never used to occur before, followed by:
Connection closed by 147.32.84.4, which is some site in Amsterdam.
This occurs at this point in the make execution: make[3]: Entering directory `......./llvm/lib/Target/X86'
Is this genuine, or has someone hacked the code and inserted some phishing attack into it?
As far as I know, there should be no reason to demand password during normal make execution (I am not doing make install yet).

Phish moves to FLAC
I'm posting this on the off chance that there are others out there who do
not read slashdot; someone pointed this out to me:
http://slashdot.org/articles/03/06/24/046255.shtml?tid=141&tid=188
"Due to customer feedback, Phish, who have served as pioneers in the
pay-per-download online music arena with their livephish.com site, have
recently converted to FLAC compression for their high-quality download
offerings. Could this be an indication that FLAC may be adopted as the de
facto lossless audio compression standard?&quo...

Question about "extracting" unwanted e-mails from mdbox
Imagine the following scenario
Last Saturday, 3:00 AM a big phishing attack hits our e-mail inboxes. Spamassassin does not mark them as spam, and our 50.000+ users have in their mdbox a very credible phishing attack. What doveadm-fu could I use to delete (or move to spam) that e-mail from each user INBOX (let?s imagine the Subject or a Header is known)?

"phishing" (was: [patch] Automatically add keys to agent)
[ Sorry, I did not see the renamed thread until I'd already replied on
the old one. Calling this a phishing attack is exactly right. ]

[LLVMdev] Phishing Attack?
This appears to be not as bad as I first feared.
I had been using llvm previously on a remote machine and for some inexplicable reason a fresh compilation on my local machine wanted to make a connection to the remote one, in the context of:
Updated Intrinsics.gen because Intrinsics.gen.tmp changed significantly.
Though why this should be necessary, or useful, is beyond me.

[LLVMdev] "Phishing Attack" Solved
Sorry about taking up the bandwith here, I have solved this interesting bug of my own now.
It turns out I had inadvertently inserted a shell script into my search path which happened to have the same
name as one of the more obscure system programs used in the LLVM Makefile execution and this was trying to
connect to the remote machine instead of getting on with the job.... a warning against using

Personally, I set IdentitiesOnly yes as the global default in ~/.ssh/config, and explicitly set the preferred key

Phishing attempt posing as digium
Did anyone else just get what looks like a phising attempt pretending to
be from digium?
It appears to be full of links to http://app.en25.com/e/er.aspx
I must admit, it looks genuine.

Sieve during read or login?
I was wondering if anyone thought of applying filters to email post
delivery, pre-read.
Basically the idea would be to head off Spam, Malware or Phishing for
already delivered email. Malware would probably be the least likely
target, as (knock on wood) user workstations would be updated, but a
targeted phishing scam would not create a public signature that would
be downloaded, yet an admin may have a regex that could be used to
remove...

CleanLog.h
Sad to say one of my file servers was exploited and used to run a
Phishing scam. Have identified subject virus amongst other things. It
appears twice in a virus scan; /sbin/z (which I assume can just be
deleted) and /sys/bus/serio/drivers/atkbd/description. The latter file
is also present in identical uninfected machines. I have been unable to

Issue retrieving new certificate on host after original certificate was revoked
Folks --
I am attempting to retrieve a new certificate on a Puppet client whose
certificate was revoked on the Puppet master.
The original certificate was revoked using the command:
# puppet cert --revoke el5-puptest-2.localdomain
I have deleted the /var/lib/puppet/ssl directory on the client, and issued
the following command:
# puppet agent --test --waitforcert=20
This produces the

In at least one of the several, it was a phishing attack. In another case,
someone responded slowly to a query... and had a typo saying the *reverse*
of what they meant to say.

Beta IE7 Policy Template
...e IE6 - most users will
probably beg you to set these.
- Set Google as Default Search
Can't stand Live Search, this will make Google the default search for
the Search Bar
- Disable First Run Wizard
This one will disable the stupid wizard that EVERY user normally has to
go through
- Disable Phishing Filter
This one disables the Phishing junk altogether - I could add more
options to this one, but I think the Phishing filter for IE7 is such a
privacy concern that I decided just to disable it. (When enabled every
site you go to is transmitted back to Microsoft)
- Disable Language Bar

dovecot config for 1500 simultaneous connection
...edentials. The problem I encountered is the converse -- a
user changes their password, but forgets to update their mail reader's
or web browser's stored password, which continues to work until the
TTL expires.
Another related security situation I've encountered is when a fraudster
has phished a user's password. A user/admin changes the password,
but forgets to invalidate dovecot's cached entry, allowing the fraudster
contunuing access to the mail account until the TTL expires or user logs
in with new credentials. I've been burnt by this one.
