Improved jump-threading in LLVM for finite state automata

Improved jump-threading in LLVM for finite state automata
...2019: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42313 It appears that GCC improved support for jump threading in 2015 along the same lines: https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=54742 Is anyone aware of any plan to do improve LLVM jump-threading along the same lines for LLVM? How to get branch coverage by using 'source-based code coverage'
Hi, llvm/clang experts I need to get the branch coverage for some testing code. But i found gcov can't give a expected coverage which may count some 'hidden branch' in (See stackoverflow answer <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42003783/lcov-gcov-branch-coverage-with-c-producing-branches-all-over-the-place>). Instead, I turn to use clang and the 'source-based code

Please let me know if these design thoughts look reasonable and if this would be useful. The goal is to start full implementation soon and upstream in a few months. Thanks! metaflac: New tags to replace crossfading in players.
Hi All, I'd like to improve the way MPD (and other players) switches between tracks. I'd like something like crossfade but without any fading. I'd like the player to just overlap the end of one track with the beginning of the next track to provide a nice transition. Crossfading in MPD doesn't work for me since it just ramps the volume up/down over a fixed time and some tracks

Introducing the binary-level coverage analysis tool bcov
## TL;DR We introduce bcov, an open-source binary-level coverage analysis tool [1]. The details are discussed in our paper [2], which is accepted to ESEC/FSE'20. bcov statically instruments x86-64 ELF binaries without compiler support. It features several techniques that allow it to achieve high performance, transparency, and flexibility. For example, running "make

Native ZFS on Linux
I have a question that has been puzzling me for some time ... what is the reason RedHat chose to go with btrfs rather than working with the ZFS-on-Linux folks (now OpenZFS)? Is it a licensing issue, political, etc? Although btrfs is making progress, ZFS is far more mature, has a few more stable features (especially Raid-z3) and has worked flawlessly for me on CentOS-6 and Scientific Linux-6.

zfs list improvements?
To improve the performance of scripts that manipulate zfs snapshots and the zfs snapshot service in perticular there needs to be a way to list all the snapshots for a given object and only the snapshots for that object. There are two RFEs filed that cover this: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6352014 : ''zfs list'' should have an option to only present direct

New tags for better transitions between tracks.
Hi All, I've been playing with some new metadata tags for a while and I think I'm ready to share the joy. I've set up a puny webserver at http://phippo.is-a-geek.com/mixramp.html (please don't slashdot it) with some patches to implement and use the tags. The patch for metaflac applies to the current CVS FLAC and adds the command line option --add-mix-ramp. This is a shameless rip off of the Replay Gain code and it creates some new VC tags...
